Its funny they dont want the vast majority of their community to play the mode theyd rather have them watch others play. Makes no sense.

1 ReplyEdited by deadchecked: 4/11/2020 11:07:47 PMI'd prefer the game is just playable. I have Netflix.
-
"Watchable" This is actually an excellent idea!! Since I don't have to play the game now, I'll just WATCH next year's annual pass. Will save about $60 and a 1000 hours of annoyance I'm all for content being "watchable"
-
Edited by Smough: 4/13/2020 3:30:32 PMI thought it showed that they have no idea what makes content repeatable, or worth doing in the first place. Currently it seems like they think a seal and simply completion is enough incentive to play an activity.

4 RepliesOh frick off as a Density Zeta player I can tell you that Puke Shit is the godliest being on this Earth and we should worship him and his FOMO celestial being powers. He can choose to destroy you or let you ascend into Bungle’s higher pantheon of Bellevue and you shall now worship him until the end of time or be decimated from the face of reality as we know it. If you ever dare utter a single word of anti-doostiny or anti-bungeee Lukey Dookie Poopie Puke Smith will personally come to your house, devour your wife and children, and as he shits out the mangled remains of your family he will stab his golden razelighter of ultimate FOMO death and destruction up your tightass butthole.

3 RepliesBungie has abandoned its faithful playerbase Those who have been around for years. They're just concerned about the free to play people who will buy eververse items and silver
-
1 ReplyNot even gonna lie, I’m still kinda shock’d that Bungo’s publicity people let that part be published. That said, this isn’t the first time streamers have been somewhat thrown under the bus in one of their public statements when they’ve made unpopular announcements.

1 ReplyThey can watch my black screen #watercress

1 ReplyNobody watched me play Pitfall Harry !!!!

Edited by DredLaP: 4/12/2020 11:43:36 AMWhile I dont like 99% of streamers, its not their fault. This is 100% bungie’s fault. If you cater to the 1%, it will hurt. They know this, just to arrogant to change. Watching the company’s love fest with the group on twitter, is gross. Im loving the recent stuff though. An event was made for them. The bastion puzzle. More than a few made big money and gained a ton of support from it. Now, just weeks later, they complaining. When you create ego and elitism and celebrate it, its great for everyone else, when it bites you in the ass. Make a better game and cater it to the other 99% and win. The good news is that many of this group will be playing valorant soon. Sadly, instead of a big community meeting, bungie will invite the most popular to another private summit, so they celebrate each other some more.

4 RepliesGladd is giving up D2 so I don’t think this is the case. Bungie just nailed the coffin shut. They just shit the bed and it STINKS.
-
5 RepliesThe problem is people will watch the streamers. If everyone just said F the streamers maybe just maybe bungie might take notice.
-
You act like this is new....
-
5 RepliesIt’s one line in the whole Twab. Y’all overreact to everything lol
-
Meh, it could end up being a good thing. YA’LL are overreacting to nothing and forgetting why people watch others play the game. Mostly to learn because they can’t figure it out for themselves. On one hand, you’re right that’s a problem. On the other hand it could very well just be laziness or curiosity. The Bungenheim has pushed people away from the game and isolated pockets of the player base. That’s bad. If “watchable” means actually focusing on mechanics and not sponges or arbitrary tanks, I’m all for it. Nobody wants to watch that shit. As far as “making it FOR streamers”; that makes no sense. You don’t get people buying shit from eververse without playing the game. Come on now, that argument is ridiculous. They prob mean if it looks like fun, maybe people will wanna try it themselves. It’s not this insidious conspiracy to cater to ~10 ppl. Jeezus

Edited by yakineko: 4/11/2020 4:10:37 PMYes it is. The most focused content this season (it feels like) is definitely trials, and I think the reason for that was to bring back the once-popular trials to bring in more streamers and act as a billboard. I think that's where the statement "Grandmaster should be watchable." comes from. This season has been extremely boring. It started with no vE content at all, a lack of Ritual Weapons, a bounty with no fun at all, and a very full Eververse product in the midst of all that... And so they kept pouring their spare resources into broken trials and fawning over streamers, and vE is completely dead this time. These trials are now trials of hard light...or trials of Mountaintop or Revoker, which is a ridiculously uninspired battle where everyone is armed with the same weapons, and it's boring. Well, that's just my personal opinion. Anyway, they're probably not looking at us "regular users" right now. Also, I am by no means hostile to streamers. Rather, they entertain me, and I can respect them. What saddens me is Bungie and this season, which has become too streamer-conscious and left other content empty-handed.
-
Things not to mention in a message to the community regarding content. *Must be watchable They are probably gonna start proofreading their twabs now. But that is the worst thing you can say.
-
4 RepliesEdited by Mr man 306 n6: 4/12/2020 7:11:59 PMIt really enforces everyone saying that bungie caters to the streamers doesn't it?
-
Even Gladd said nah hes good and quits.
-
I guess I think it's cool to admit that you are making something for just the top 0.001% or better, assuming these GM Nightfalls didn't take too many resources from the overall game that benefits the 99.999%. But if you are going to make something this exclusive, you can't give OP weapon rewards that the 0.001% can then unleash on the rest of the population. But Bungie could have given them some armor I suppose, something to show off besides a title. But it seems like making new armor is just too hard (Trials is reskinned, and they say this took development from unique pinnacle gear). Bungie need to decide whether they want to fully support this game or just fully support Eververse.

1 ReplyThose nasty mean streamers!

Grand master must be watchable
I mean, surely they can explain it away somehow Or ignore that they said the quiet part out loud.
-
1 ReplyYeah and just for that sentence alone I won't even try it.
-
25 RepliesWhy is it you and a lot of other people cling to the ‘GM must be watchable’ part of the list when there were a bunch of other things stated? Things good for all players going for GM clears?
-
Blantely: A combination of blatantly and bluntly
-
Jet Set WillyIt’s all going concording to plan 😂🤣 - old
I think they were going for ‘entertaining’ but got tongue tied/writer’s block and chose ‘watchable’ as that’s what came to mind.
