When PlayStation users choose to show offline status, all someone in your Destiny clan has to do, is open the Destiny app, click Clan, click Roster and on the left, under "Members Online", it displays you are playing online, even though you don't want to be seen. That's a breech in privacy and it pisses many of us off. People send you screenshots of being online just to "catch" you.
I've emailed Bungie, but I'm putting it here too, because it's going to make a lot more people mad.
Change it now Bungie!

Edited by stnbooth: 4/9/2020 8:58:00 PMYea, it doesn't work that way. We have people in our clan that do this all the time. The only way you know they're online is by the random clan xp that pops up when they do something but not in game. You can look at their Bungie activity and see that they did something but they don't show online. Even if it did show them online in game, it's not in any way a "breach of privacy" lol. The "appear offline" feature is not even a Bungie feature. It has zero to do with them.
