Casual Players demand The same respect as Trials PVP Sweatys

Bungie stop making the casual players feel like we arent welcome in the pvp player base especially trials the mode is open for everyone but only really seems to cater to the super sweaty no lifers in terms of reward structure. This needs to be addressed everybody is not a super sweaty people want to jump in the mode and feel like our time was rewarded in some way. We demand our damn respect with out casuals playing the game you wont have a population to be matchmaking with if everyone decides not play at all

  • Typical calling someone sweaty because they're better then you! What do you call them when they are smarter and make more money! Do you cry too? All these casuals don't want to improve or get better and just want a softball style reward simply because they're all on a team! What do you call them when they're better to you. Do you cry to the coach? Did you not get a participation award? TRIALS is an "OPTIONAL" GAME MODE no one forces you to play it! You can get 3 wins and eventually get all the loot without going past it! Mercy boon grants four chances to get 3 wins On a card! Typical handout mentality! You have comp go play that that playlist is ruined due to whiners. Legend means nothing, unbroken means nothing, pinnacles nothing again!

All they had to was follow D1 and make the previous Trials sets available as bounty rewards for completing matches/kills etc, outside of the 3,5, 7 drops... In this case that would be Armor 2.0 versions of Trials of the Nine gear. Simple. Why do they never think of these things? At the very beginning of Trials in D1 there were secondary sets of Trials armor as possible end of match drops, to give casual players something for their time. Each "season" after that, the previous season gear was available as bounty rewards IIRC

This honestly needs to be said. Players should commit themselves to activities if they enjoy them, yes. Not every activity is built to your liking though. Trials is a pinnacle PVP activity meant for those who wish to engage in it. Every activity has their rules and if you start catering to everyone then the activity loses its integrity and image. For example, people are asking for participation trophies because of anecdotal evidence. If you start watering it down by giving out participation trophies then the activity is gimped. If bungie starts doing that for every activity then they stand to lose everything.

Give the casuals Trials rewards. But make them rusted, burned, broken, non-glowing, busted, tattered rag versions. Like the burnt gear we had to fix after the red war. Then they can participate for their I showed up trophies and the try hards will have reasons to continue to play sweaty. Give the Flawless adept weapons with an extra permanent perk celerity. Gleaming glowing armor. End the insufferable whining. Dear God. It was meant to be a challenge. Of course it would bring out the best. You should aspire to be greater. Ask the sweatiest how to play instead of playing in your stead or despite you in a carry. Christ. Break line of sight. Change verticality. Figure out head level. Cover eachother. Pick 2 people that want to win with you no matter what adversity. Isolate one of the enemies. Map control. Heavy control. Read the art of war if you have to. I don't want Survival freelance Trials.

                • Casuals need to be in trials or the player base will crash. The "get gud" mentality is really toxic and you guys can just stay in middle school where you belong.

I mean Raids and Master Ordeals aren't exactly 'welcoming' for all players, if we do a PvE endgame/PvP endgame comparison. Raids don't dole out rewards if players fail to complete encounters. Nightfalls don't have any rewards if you don't win. Then again the comparison is innately flawed because there are differences in structure between PvP and PvE content in regards to difficulty because the human element is in play, but no Trials is like the PvP Raid scene lol. /s On an actual note though, 'casuals' are not the target audience for Trials. It's setting the mode up for failure obviously, but Trials (as it is now) is for the more engaged and 'hardcore' PvP people.

                  • not a matter of casual/sweaty its a matter of game has to many errors/cheaters to bother playing trials at all. game is a joke now with their nonexistent anti-cheat system. best bet is for ppl to stop paying for anything at all and hope bungie wakes up the way they did with forsaken and actually make the game at least worth the space on the hard drive that its on

Unfortunately I disagree trials is exactly what it's called trials made for the best of the best you casuals have enough things to entertain you if what to play with the big guns in PvP then practice and eventually you will get there

                      • First off, breathe. As someone who tends to be more of a "casual" player, I too am able to compete in Trials because I can work together with my fireteam. Seriously, if you want to feel like casuals are welcome (because they always are) just join up with some guys from LFG or something and run the card for trying to get to three wins. Also I will say this, if you want something that isn't a sweat-fest then don't play trials. It is meant to be challenging and rewarding. I will add this as a caveat for everything I have already said, currently in trials, even on console, the matchmaking is not as it was made out to be. As it stands right now: "Trials uses connection-based & card-state matchmaking. When you're on the cusp of visiting the new Lighthouse, (the one you all built with TONS of fractaline & effort) we want you to be facing someone in a similar spot. 2/3" but it certainly doesn't feel that way currently. In the past few weeks the first 5 games are super difficult to play and the 6th and 7th are easier (tend to be). This is an issue with token and bounty farming that makes the first few games super difficult because it is connection based. so a super casual team could go up against the sweatiest team on game 1 because they have similar connection only. Due to falling population in trials of osiris and the token and bounty farming teams, this is where the issue is, not with the actual game mode. Trials is super fun and you can learn to be good at it too, just spend more time in control, elimination, and survival (I run in the solo matchmaking because I'd rather not run alone against a full team). Spend time there first, find some buddies to play elimination with first and just run a trials card one weekend, trying to get to 3 and 5 wins before the losses. It takes time to build the "skill" to play trials if you are a casual player. But given the current state of everything going on in the actual world, you might find yourself with more time to play destiny than you have in a while. Take advantage of that.

                            • Trials would be more acceptable if it had true skill based matchmaking. Hell, even a ranked system. The problem, IMO, is that you’re getting fairly decent PvP players trying to get to a good spot but are getting crushed by the best of the best. Furthermore, people are comparing this to raids like it’s similar. It’s not. You can learn a raid. Learn mechanics. Raids are predictable and repetitive. The best of the best, the ‘sweats’ so to speak, aren’t predictable. It’s part of why they’re good. You learn by facing people of your own skill level and improving, getting matched against people better as you, too, improve. But this is the major flaw with Bungie. There is no SBMM. Not the respectable kind anyway. So telling people to “git gud lul” is stupid when this game doesn’t provide a logical way to do it. It’s like telling a college basketball player who is fairly good at the sport to get better by playing against Michael Jordan over and over and over. Getting utterly destroyed over and over rarely teaches anything. Yeah you might learn a little bit, but if you’re too outclassed it’s just disheartening. — I, personally, abhor Trials because of the current sandbox meta. Revoker / Hard Light is low risk high reward.
