How do you all find teams for Trials?

Hi everyone. So after the past 3 or 4 weeks I have played through nothing but Trials any time its available. To the point I probobly am getting less sleep than i actually need. Either way I have struggled alot the past few weeks and wanted to ask how you all get your teams? Alot of my friends who I have helped out in the past with countless things (including riven legit) wont give me the time of day. I go to LFG but 3 of the 4 weeks I get nothing but people who seem to just split off and do their own thing with rhe 4th just being on the lucky side of things. When I do get someone "really good" they laugh and berate me about having "a low KD" which again is due to the LFG players who run off on their own. The last group I was with tormented me about my KD (before even attempting a match) to the point of basically just wanting to not even deal with this game anymore as I have severe depression and bi polar and to top it off I have some other personal things going on in my life right now that has me on edge. Any advice would be great...Thanks.

  • The first place you should go is your clan, if you have one. After interacting with the people in your clan for a bit, they probably won't care how good you are, and you'll most likely have some level of coordination from doing other activities. If you don't have a clan or just don't have good pvp players in your clan, your next best option is LFG. You clearly know the stress that using LFG can cause but I do have some tips. First and foremost, if a group isnt working, say something. My go to is normally, "we aren't really meshing well, I think itd be best if we split off." Something to that does two things, it puts the blame on everyone not just you or the person who isnt playing well defusing potential harsh comments. Next remember, persistence is key, eventually you'll find someone who is good and won't berate you for your stats, friend that person and try to find someone like them. Don't use Bungie's LFG. Xbox has a good one if you play on there, if not I recommend finding a Youtuber's discord (I know a lot of people hate youtubers here, I'm just giving a recommendation). Learn the map callouts, if you haven't already, most people will be able to tell where you are talking about, sometime the best thing you can do is tell people where the enemy is at. Finally , this isnt tied to your real life worth, it's meant to be fun. Don't take the insults personally, the people who do insult you for your skill have no ability to see true value in others.
if you're on xbox, you can add me, I haven't been flawless yet though I've been close and really only didn't make it because my teammates had cards that were two wins ahead of mine.
Know people, or find people. When you find people, you'll know people. When you know people, you'll have people to play with. To find people, look on LFG, find a Clan, meet the friends of friends, or start greeting random folks in the Tower, after Crucible matches, after Strikes, after Gambit, after Menagerie, etc. who may or may not want to be talked to by a stranger. If all else fails, the last resort is going and finding a PvP-focused streamer or someone on the aforementioned LFG(who may also be a streamer) offering to help(hopefully for free). Good luck in your endeavors, Guardian, and with your depression. Edit: Unfortunately, we're on different platforms, otherwise I'd offer to help.

        • Just play Comp until you find a team you like, then ask them. That’s how I found my team. They were a team of 2 looking for a good 3rd. I kicked ass with them in the comp game, so we linked up. Together we’ve managed 5 wins per weekend and looking to get the 7th win rewards and hopefully flawless.

        • Make your own team and say you are trying for three wins. Get practice, then maybe go for flawless when your skill level goes up. If you want PvP tips, let me know.

          • How do you find a team...you don’t. The sooner Trials dies the better.

          • Im not risking my account to accidentally play with an aimbotter or wallhacker and get banned. So I just play with friends who are decent at the game. Pc LFG is sketchy after all those people who downloaded those aimbots.

          • I load up a different game, and just don't bother with Destiny content (or lack there of) right now

          • The best groups I’ve seen play are friends. Clans can be hit or miss, and it will take some trial and error on that front. In my clan, we have 3-5 people who enjoy trials. They do well because we’re all friends and can laugh it off even when it’s more frustrating than it’s worth. If you can find a good clan, it’s a real game changer.

            • Want real advice? Don't play trials. Also stay away from regular comp. Stick to freelance comp and the Valor playlists
