When i first heard about Trials i was Excited.. Now I am Demoralized
[u][b]Week 1:[/b][/u] It all started good I got 6 wins and I thought to myself: "When they disable Light Level advantage I'll go Flawless!" Boy was i wrong.
[u][b]Week 2:[/b][/u] Not only was I met with Defeat, I in general could not even win anymore. I thought to myself: "It must be the map!" That week I also saw 65% of Players could not get 3 wins? Heck make that 1 win. Then I Thought: "Oh so everyone was resetting their passage so they could farm a god roll Shotgun? Okay guess it was that, so since this week they removed the Shotgun for 3rd win, I'll win!"
[u][b]Week 3:[/b][/u] First match started great I really thought it was the map! Then next match you guessed it Sweaty Snipers, you had all kinds: 3rd person peeking snipers, Flying snipers, sliding snipers(my god those are disgusting) and all those people had one thing in common, the "Flawless Emblem" In every god forsaken round my stomach turned upside down when i saw them. I thought to myself: "Am I a bad player? Am I bad for not spending all my legendary shards on a "Dire Promise" and farming 50 hours of my life to get that perfect "Mind-benders" that seemingly one shots me from a meter away? NO of course not the fact that I even had 3 kills per match against those people is astounding but the sweat to get those measly 3 kills!? You know the feeling of pressure.. After each match u just really wanna go pee or poop cause your brain can't take it anymore.
[u][b]Week 4:[/b][/u] I got 2 wins...Lost the 3rd cause of flawless passage re-setters. This is the end point.. I love this game but man this matchmaking/system needs work. I am officially demoralized and I believe so are you.
We need you to fix this system make the token earn rates higher for win 7, give them adept weapons. Give them something so they can get out of the 3 win section or don't and let Trials Of Osiris drown and choke on the sweat it produces. If Trials is Savathûn's trick for Demoralizing guardians.... It worked. I officially feel drained to even look at it.

Not going to lie I knew as soon as they announced it that the game was in no position to bring trials back and that was BEFORE I knew that trials would have no unique flawless reward and a completely flawed reward system altogether and before a surge of beaver errors happening to everyone. All I was thinking about back then was cheaters, the meta, the state of the skillgap in genera et cetera. But even just the straight up trials gamemode by itself was delivered with the most hilariously bad loot system that I can remember being in this game in 5 years. As Slayerage (The legend himself on youtube) said in his recent video, the most effective way of farming trials loot is 3 win resetting which has a side effect of being extremely gatekeeping and inconvenient for people who are barely able to get that many wins.

This was my last try in trials. Never again. Now the sweaters can play with one of their kind. In a few weeks they will leave too. You have another intended glitch to get players back?

Y'all preferred the warm comfort of your favorite streamers telling you it was going to be great. When will this community understand? Streamers don't have the average player interests. They care about THEIR business model. A model that depends on everybody else be their cannon fodder, so THEY can the special competitive PvP gods, so you HAVE to go to their stream and BEG for a carry or a recov. STREAMERS gatekeeping loot. Recovs gatekeeping loot. Cheaters gatekeeping loot. STOP TRYING TO MAKE DESTINY COMPETITIVE. Make it outrageous. Fun. Chaotic.

You stopped at week 5, the best week. Even if by some miracle you make it to 3, 5, or 7 wins you get nothing anyway. :D

Bungie’s incompetence ( bringing back trials, the card system, letting players farm for god rolls, listings to streamers, bringing trials back, oh yeah and most of all, bringing trials back) that’s a given, but the real blame for the mess trials is in goes to streamers selling/raffle carries all weekend and the websites with their prices for all the different carries the offer. Some people may disagree, but in my book, that is CHEATING pure and simple, that includes those exploiting the card system so they get to farm easy matches and RUIN the experience for LEGITIMATE players. Yes, Bungie was stupid for not putting an end to this, or at the very least safeguards to prevent this CRAP, but D1 vets like myself have been saying this is what will happen if they bring trials back, but we were ridiculed!!! Trials will save the game. Trials is what kept the game alive. People don’t cheat in trials, you’re just bitter. Trials isn’t toxic. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 RepliesNO. Just get gud. Seriously. Trials is part of the PvP endgame and unless you don't put any effort, blood sweat and tears in it you should NOT be rewarded! Sick of the constant cry of people who think they are entitled to everything in the game!

4 RepliesThere also needs to bounties that grant random gear for participating and allow for using whatever weapon you want Bounty 1 get 30 kills Bounty 2 get 5 revives Bounty 3 play 7 matches of trials and complete 40 rounds of trials dont require a win or lose Have each one reset weekly and grant pinnacle drops Add adpt weapons that all have precision frames and have a default shader that's gold and black everyone likes shiny things right? Maybe add hipfire grip to as an intrinsic perk.

I knew Trials would run itself into the ground when I first heard them bring it back, but I genuinely expected it to take longer than this. Almost impressed Bungie managed to make something disappointing even worse that fast.

Hacking mate, 70% of these "flawless" are hacking .There's no measure in place. You can literally just go now and google "destiny 2 hacks", get whatever one you want, they;re all undetectable. They;ve been undetectable for ages. It's really starting to turn me off this game. If they don't do anything about it im gonna give up on it.

Rather than suggesting the terrible solutions of a whole other playlist or "flawless should only match flawless", you've provided a suggestion that directly tackles the root of the issue. I applaud you sir. The matchmaking system is card based, so it's designed to get harder as you climb the ladder. That worked (for the most part) on week one, then the farming happened. The best players are abusing that system to farm tokens. Thay breaks the system. A broken system results in a broken game mode. Period.

1 ReplyI am convinced your proposal (and others' the same) - more rewards for higher ranks - won't change a single bit. Top players will go flawless one or two times and still go farming lower ranks. For the simple reason they can and they laugh about you and me and every other lower ranked/skilled player and despise the cannon fodder. They show us the same esteem than a shark for a sardine.

The player pool has already depleted to the point that it’s the super sweats left. It had one chance to launch as something enjoyable for a larger portion of the community, but sadly that’s prob gone.

They can snipe or shot gunning all day all year long. Weak Super weak grenade, high TTK..that’s make lower skilled players almost not able to fight back. And remember...many players are playing with controller and big screen tv that has highest latency. The solution should be lower the skill gap. Everyone will spawn with same ammo and super. No ammo drop on kill. Lower the TTK. For instance HC will have 1 head 1 body or 3 body shot to kill in the correct range. Harder to kill the super. That way PVP will be about strategy and planning. Not just because someone have more nimble fingers. Reward for flawless should be ornaments not a more powerful weapons or armors. You can not give a PVP winner a more Powerful gears that can be used in PVP as trophy. D1 adept weapons just add the burn that has no PVP advantage. Since beginning, D2 PVP has many stupidities like rewarding Powerful Pinnacle weapons that can be used in PVP as PVP quest. Like LH, NF, Recluse etc. Its idiotic to reward the competitive winner with a better tools. Like to reward bicycle racing winner with a n faster bike. As long as Bunji D2 PVP team still have the same wrong mentality..D2 PVP will keep losing players even with free to play . Bunji need to fire all D2 PVP team.
