lack of cabal on io
I've been on this Xur quest for so long and its starting to annoy me in the fact that i cannot get 9 cabal samples on Io, there is little to no cabal on Io and the only one I have killed was a high value target and I know the only way to find big groups of cabal is to wait for the cabal public event but the problem is that they arent spawning I've been waiting an hour each day and not one event has spawned only taken blights, i haven't seen one event spawn in the rupture since I've had the quest and at this point I dont really know what to do because I cannot see myself completing this quest.

Edited by CeruleanDragon: 10/16/2020 4:14:13 AMWhat it feels like is that Bungie made changes to Io for the seasonal event, but forgot that there was a quest that required hunting Cabal on Io. I've attempted this quest a couple of times and wound up discarding it each time when I realized/remembered that there aren't any Cabal on Io except one Wanted guy who doesn't drop a sample (at least he hasn't the last couple of times I've killed him). I picked up this quest last week and I've scoured Io several times looking for Cabal, but nothing. None in Terrabase Charon, no special events involving them (those special events seem to have been replaced with the Public Contact events involving Vex and Taken). I'm holding the quest no, complete except for the Cabal samples, but it basically is just eating up space in my quest log. May have to wait for next season... oh wait, Io gets "vaulted" next season. Whoops, so much for that... Update: Looks like I was mistaken, I killed that Wanted Cabal for the 4th or 5th time and he dropped a sample for the quest. So I guess you could just stalk/hunt him for a while... Update Update: Figures, I've been trying at this for almost 2 weeks and *just* after I posted this a Public Contact event kicks off that's all Cabal instead of Vex. Got enough samples from that. I guess just keep doing the Public Contact events (or at least checking on them if they're active) and hope you get lucky.

5 RepliesYou know there are litteral cabal bases right? And the tower even has caball 1 week and the other week it is vex. Also there are story missions on IO with caball.
