Please change explosive heads for bows

While the delayed explosion looks cool and sounds cool, on bows it reduces the ttk by something like .5 of a second. Consider that all bows take a minimum of 2 arrows to kill, but with the delayed explosion which reduces the impact by 27%, that means that while 2 arrows will still kill you have to wait the .5 seconds for the explosion to kill your target. In that time you can easily be hit by 1 hand cannon shot, 1 pulse burst, 3-4 auto rifle bullets, which typically results in you dying at the same time as your target. Especially since most primaries received buffs in the shadow keep update. I think the best fix would be to make the arrow explode on impact or increase the stagger of arrow impact making it harder for enemies to land shots between the impact and explosion.

      • Counterpoint: explosive head is a utility Hit the floor where someone will be standing and with the delay, you can actually time it right. This explosive head damage goes up to 51, meaning that you only have to hit the person 1 time in the face to clean up. It staggers the opponent far more so than explosive rounds, to the point that if you get the headshot, they’ll be aiming at your crotch, and if you get the body shot they’ll be aiming at the sky, and will have to re-adjust. With these explosive bows being perfect peek shot weapons, you can also hit multiple people who are standing near each other, weakening them all, for you or your team to clean up. If you manage to get one with 612 or 576 draw time, you’ll be having quite a bit of fun - and if you pair Le Monarque with a spiteful fang with explosive heads, you can effectively hit the floor, and then perfect draw their face, and they’ll die. Explosive heads are absolutely fine (except in the instances that they don’t deal the expected damage if the enemy is moving and the arrow is stuck to them) If you’ve landed two shots, get behind cover.

      • It's not a PvP perk so why are you using it in PvP? There's much better options for PvP god rolls. While yes explosive arrows is a grossly underpowered perk that it nerfs the weapon, it shouln't be changed based on PvP, but buffed due to PvE and not made unbalanced in PvP.

        • I wouldn't mind if it worked more like Explosive Payload (on-impact instead of delayed). However, having had a few Subtle Calamities to play around with over the last year I still prefer the one with Explosive Head. Delayed or not the second hit of damage has seemed to give a little edge in my experience that a bow without the perk didn't seem to have. Either by preventing a shot that would've killed me, turning a near-loss into a trading kill, forcing someone to disengage by dropping their health a little lower than they were ready for, or giving that last little edge to kill someone when another teammate does so much as scratch them.
