Trials of Osiris is a failure

When Bungie announced the return of Trials, people were excited. Bungie stated that the success of Trials was paramount, so many others and I hoped they would launch it right. Sadly, that is so very far from the case. Although it has only been out for three weeks, there is a glaring list of problems with Trials. -The lack of incentive for going flawless is making the coordinated teams buy the passage of wealth, win the first three Trials matches, and then reset the card. This only proves how unrewarding it is to go flawless. -No adept weapons to reward the people that go flawless is another disappointing side of Trials. -The weapons themselves are lackluster, with the grand exception of the Astral Horizon. Everything else like the scout, rocket launcher, fusion rifle and even the sniper rifle (no point in using it over Revoker) are mediocre/slightly above average at best. Most weapon archetypes need a buff to be able to compete with Spare Rations and Hard light. Although the new Trials exclusive perk Celerity is fun, I think we can all agree it does not incentivise us to chase these weapons. -The inability to turn in tokens and get rewarded for the third, fifth and seventh games only prove that Trials was half-baked in D2. The promise of a fix without a certain date or time window tells me that we can't expect a patch any time soon either. -The absurd amount of error codes happening in Trials, especially on PC, is simply unacceptable. Neither do we have a time window for when this will get fixed. -Light level was enabled for Trials in Destiny 1, but that doesn't mean it should be enabled here. The light level cap was significantly easier to reach in D1, but here there is a giant light level gap that give the dedicated players more of an advantage. This kills a lot of the incentive for more casual players to participate. -The amount of cheaters is still a problem, even with Bungie's recent efforts to halt them. A famous streamer called Luminosity was one game away from the world's first flawless two weeks ago, only to run into cheaters that ruined that card. Some kind of in-game mechanic is needed to detect cheaters with the ability to never die or fire off 200 sniper shots in one second. There are more problems with Trials, but these are some of the biggest ones out of the gate.

  • It is easy to get to power level 1000 to compete with the try hards in 1day as long ang as you know how to fill in the gaps. The big problem with trials which remains since d1 is ppl being allowed to pay for recovs and carries which we all no will never be fixed when I run into a guy funny ober a 3.0 and a 2.5 carrying a guy running .6 is a -blam!-ing problem fix your game or ppl will leave and not waste their time or money on d3 simple as that
