I'm referring to Freelance Comp here, that's pretty much all I play.
My KD is 1.0 (KDA 1.2). I'm not great. I'm not awful. But I'm decent.
My win rate over hundreds of games is 40%.
How is that numerically possible? If the players I was matched with was a dice roll, we'd win 50% of the time. I don't throw games, I don't drop out (unless I get anteater or beaver or something). I'm not SO BAD that I should lose 60% of the games I play. And yet, here I am.
Have I just been unbelievably unlucky since the launch of the season? I find that hard to believe. Previous seasons an unlucky streak in this playlist would last 9 or 10 games max. I feel like there is something algorithmically unfortunate happening here.
Is anybody else noticing this or is this "the way it's supposed to be" and freelance players who are good enough to have a 1.0 KD should not be able to advance in the glory playlist?
EDIT: BTW I was able to get myself to legend in two previous seasons pretty quickly. This season things feel different.

Freelance comp is a joke. I’ll do well one game and win and then the next 5 I drop 15-20 kills and my team have 8 combined. SBMM is good, but not to this horrific extent
