Cant see friends character or power lvl
Anyone know what is happening I cant inspect or see my mates characters or power lvl or join them unless they join me if anyone knows how to fix this plz let me know

I have sorted it out if I'm on d2 before my friends load up the game they dont show up but if I turn my game off and start it back up they then show up but if anyone else comes on after that the new person will not show but the others will

I have the same issue, we have to be creative to join friends because you can't join in those not showing playing. Restarting does not change it. I have several in my clan that have been that way since update.

2 RepliesYeah it's a glitch closing down destiny and restarting usually fixes it.

Restarting the game usually fixes it but it is kinda annoying with how long it takes to load up. Hopefully that gets fixed soon cuz it makes it pretty annoying to join up on people

It's been happening since the release of the new season yeah. Exiting Destiny and loading back in sometimes swaps around who has this issue but I haven't been able to find a proper fix.

I honestly don't know how to fix this. I have the same problem. And to everyone suggesting to "turn it off and on again" that's not actually helpful. I feel like this post was looking for a permanent/actual fix and unfortunately we'll need to wait on bungie for this one

I have the same thing happen to me on PS4. I also can’t join them. They have to join me and their emblem is black showing zero power.

Yep, it happens on PS4. My friends are just a black rectangle.

Same issue here, PS4. When they join, they show up as 0 light as well

They are suspected carriers of carona virus.

7 RepliesClanmate of mine said he found an article on Steam about it. Seems this one is a Steam issue and not necessarily Bungie, as the thing he found said it happens in multiple games. Also if we both reset steam and there is an update pending it goes to normal every time.

They’re more concerned with watching D2 montages on YouTube and awarding movie of the week than fixing what’s broken in the game.

Having the same problem on Xbox One. Can only invite to fireteams through Xbox Live friends list. Clan members showing blacked out with 0 power when in a Fireteam. It is very annoying.

Heck yeah man, who would expect anything else. Not only are 2 of fhe 3 new exotics this season deactivated, but so are emblems and joining friends! And get error code disconnected from trials and gambit 4 out of 10 games and get suspended for quitting. Frick yeah. Bungo killin it.

This would imply that the problem is on Steam's end, but console players are reporting the same issue. That would suggest that the issue is arising from the connection between Bungie's servers and online gaming account management systems (Steam, XBL, whatever Sony uses for PS4). This would be consistent with reports of frequent disconnects/connection errors since the start of Season of the Worthy, a persistent issue which has been reported by players with all quality levels of internet service. [b]It seems like something about Season of the Worthy has messed up the ability of Bungie's servers to talk to other systems, whether home PCs/consoles or other online gaming services.[/b] EDIT: Also backing up what a couple other posters have mentioned- these zeroed out friend listings are an issue that I've encountered occasionally since I started playing in late 2018 (same with connection errors), but it's become extremely prevalent since Season of the Worthy went live (also same with connection errors).

Was happening all last weekend with my clan mates. New content (that sort of suks) but the game is broken. :(

Same issue on PC, they're blacked out for me. The only fix is to reset my game..

Don't know what platform you are on, but on ps4 I just restart it and that does work, but it is very annoying. Stay safe guardian😷

Don't worry they'll get to it in a year from now.... Jokes aside they aren't gonna do much due to the Quarantine, and because its Bungie. They prefer the Ignore it until its not an issue anymore approach.

This happens to me too. Some ppl will have 0 light level and their emblems will be blacked out

2 RepliesBeen having it quite a lot since last patch. no idea why. used to be quite rare now its prevalent. no doubt they'll blame it on connection which it well maybe.

log out then log back in, that works most of the time. I agree with you its annoying af
