Dismantle stacks of mod components again

I have a max stack of 999 mod components that I wish to dismantle to free up a valuable inventory slot, but to do that, I have to dismantle them one by one after the recent update (the previous behavior dismantled the stack). Please add an option to dismantle mod components as a stack. It takes an hour to dismantle a stack. Dismantling one of the mod components takes about 3 seconds; then there's a delay before you can dismantle the next, which is about .5 - 1 seconds extra. So, with a stack of 999 mod components, that's about an hour that I have to waste to do nothing else but dismantling mod components. I know I could just macro it, but I really have to idle for an hour to dismantle all those mod components? And the macro could possibly dismantle something I didn't want dismantled.

  • Agreed I’ve got 6 full stacks in my vault and 321 in my inventory - Gunsmith should buy them of you for glimmer I’m willing to donate to a charity of the Gunsmith’s choice

  • I have just checked my inventory and have three stacks of mod components. I would like to have 1 and a half stacks, in case Bungie do something with them. Just started to discard some of them and my god that is some messed up crap of time wasting. This game has enough built in time wasting in it as it is. I agree with someone above that macro is no solution, because the next stack after the mod components is this season's currency, so no thanks to losing a 9999 stack of that Bungie. Do something sensible with the inventory mangement once and for all, it's a disgrace considering you want $100 Australian a year to play your game. $100 Australian for a year of game play is good value though haha

  • I dont think it's a good idea to dismantle all of them, because you never know what bungie will do with them in the future, they might become extremely valuable later on.

    • Or at least add to the tooltip what dismantling does (whether it dismantles a stack or individually) and what stuff it can give.

    • Did they change these to be individual dismantles? They used to be done by stack.

      • So, I don't understand why this post is getting downvoted. It takes an hour to dismantle a stack of those mod components; there is no other way to dispose of them to free up an inventory slot. Doing gunsmith bounties on all 3 characters each day can give you at least stack of mod components within a season. I know the fractaline donation situation was a ridiculous chore last season, but apparently the UX designers at bungie did not hear the community feedback about the unnecessary time spent in menus because they just added the same situation again this season with the mod component dismantling.
