My account was hacked and everything was deleted
I lost my account on the 22nd and I have proof that my account was indeed stolen. and everything is gone. all the obelisk weapons i earned last season. all the high stat rolled exotics and armor. all the masterworked gear. ive put hundreds of hours into destiny just to lose everything.
i converted these images using discord since it was a lot easier.
this is the email I receive from steam upon receiving my account back.

I've lost literally everything. I put in so many hours and spent so much money. and I lose everything because some Russian dude hacked my account.
I want to know if it is possible to restore my gear. at least the important stuff. if I can i'll start playing again. Otherwise me and my friends plan on quitting.

2 RepliesUnfortunately, your platform login credentials and your platform account security is entirely in your hands and the platform owner's hands. Sadly, Bungie will not restore any characters or inventory items that have been lost or deleted, as per policy. You will not receive an exception for this. You can view the full policy here: https://www.bungie.net/en/help/article/12211 The first line of the policy clearly states "Whether due to accidental deletion or unauthorized account access, Bungie does not recover manually deleted characters or items, and does not replace in-game items that are lost or dismantled." It's entirely up to you whether or not you wish to start from this point and continue playing or move on to other games. Regardless of what you do, I'd suggest adding security to your account to avoid unauthorized access in the future. The platform companies all have two-factor authentication and other various security tools you can use to avoid access of your account without permission.

2 RepliesBungie will not restore lost or deleted items per their policy, and you trying to tell them you and friends will quit because they won't give yo uh back things you lost because you tried to get a recovery is beyond ridiculous. Empty threats are pointless. Get to work on your new characters and don't try to cheat next time.
