I have been getting the “watercress” error code for 3 days now. Went through all the troubleshooting guides and stuff, to no avail. Then today, I tried something different and it worked. 1) Start the game as usual till I got the black screen that lasts what seems like forever, then the error code notice pops up. 2) Dismiss the notice, then you’ll be brought back to the title screen. 3) Start the game over again, but this time, mine got stuck on the loading screen just before the character selection screen, then the sound skips like it does when the game freezes. I know the sound is annoying, but let the Xbox refresh itself. 4) Once the Xbox refreshes, mine brought me back to the home screen. 5) Eject the Destiny disc and then insert it back into the drive. My game suddenly started working again as normal. Hope this might be helpful to anyone else. Cheers guardians.

I started getting this error on Friday March 20, 2020. Even deleted it and reinstalled it 105Gig still get error watercress. every time I select my character it goes to a black screen then the error comes up after a few min's. Not very happy with Bungie right now, if this is not fixed shortly I will never buy a Bungie game again.

Been able to play some then I get the black screen of death. Reboot program play some kick again about to give up on Destiny 2 all togeather. I am back to not being able to play any more I just keep getting watercress error's now. SO LONG DESTINY 2.
