are you able to cross save xbox 360 destiny 1 to destiny 2?
i have just downloaded destiny 2 and i wanted to have my old destiny character but im not sure if i am able to cross save my character from destiny 1 on xbox 360 to xbox one on destiny 2. also i have not played destiny 1 on my xbox one

No. To transfer characters (note it is only character face settings and a few earned emblems that transfer) you had to... Be on current gen consoles. Have completed the base campaign or be at lv20. All of the above to be done by mid July 2017. So even if you got a copy of D1 now and transferred your characters yo current gen you are too late.
