Given by what the lore says, more likely siva would print over the vex, assimilate their bodies and mind.
-
Most likely no, it can't. I do however believe Siva, properly programmed, could decimate the Vex. The Vex can only manipulate time and reality inside their structures. Siva can "eat" these structures from the outside and turn it into more Siva nanites.

4 RepliesNice thought, but no, it can’t. SIVA is nanotech and simply follows commands. It can be told to target and break down Vex constructs, but it has absolutely zero capability to corrupt anything because it is not a virus. The Vex, however, are extremely infectious and corruptive. If SIVA were to attach to Vex to break them down, the Vex components would start to take over the SIVA components and make them stop their attack, then convert them into parts if the Vex system Basically, the Vex are like SIVA except they think for themselves, can fight back against invasive elements (including the Taken), and can break down the consciousness as well as matter
-
Yes it can SIVA's prime directive right now is Consime Enhance Replicate therefore it will consume the Vex Enhance there abilities and then keep on replicating them.
-
I hope SIVA evolves to become a virus that infects enemies similar to how the taken work

3 RepliesPotentially? However that would put into question the technological advancements of both the Golden age and the Vex In reality if the vex ever got their hands on Siva they'd probably outfit their worker drones with it and that's that. Hell maybe they see Siva as inferior to their technology?

Can't happen.

3 RepliesSIVA isnt intelligent, its not going to "evolve past its programming" or something grandiose and silly. Trillions of nanotechnology nanites that follow simple instructions to the exclusion of everything else and then stop when done.
-
The Vex themselves are being consumed in that machine plating. According to the lore that machine plating can even bring them back from being taken

Edited by Grays_KS27: 3/23/2020 6:43:03 AMArchival, Robo, and Zelrons all nailed it. SIVA can’t evolve and the Vex can definitely beat it. The Vex can convert machines (even Servitors, which are far more advanced) so they could convert SIVA, or they could destroy it.
-
SIVA doesn't evolve. SIVA isn't intelligent. It will only do what it is programed to do, but it will go to great lengths to do it.
-
Probably given enough time. That or The Vex might take an interest in it......might. The Radiolaria would be useless to SIVA...but it would consume/enhance/replicate their frames though. It would be improving worker frames...but hey.
-
SIVA wouldn’t stand a chance against the Vex. I’d be more worried about the Vex finding SIVA and deeming it fit for some purpose.

<If the Vex deemed SIVA a threat they'd break it. It's a piece of causal tech, which is under the realm of the Vex's ability to simulate. Basically, it tries, it will fail.>
