Auto rifles vs Hand cannons
Preferred this game when it was a hand cannons meta. There was more variety in terms of weapons used. You'd see ace, thorn, last word, Luna's, nf, spare rations, austringer. It took some skill to get a kill with a HC. You had to actually work for a kill...today's AR meta. All you see is suros and Hard light. Lay on the trigger weapons take absolutely zero skill to use and it's literally killing the fun in PVP. Hand cannons cannot compete because they are auto ranged by nearly everything. Even some side arms. This meta is just not fun and literally makes people not want to play pvp. Back when it was a hand cannons meta not everyone used the same stuff because not everyone had Luna's or NF, or even austringer and spare rations but they made do and there were hand cannons that could level the playing field like service revolver, ikelos, west of sunfall, trust(if you got the right roll), jack queen king. The diversity made. This bland suros/hard light meta is just not it. What's the point in putting all these weapons in the game if you're going to dog them to the point where they can't put up a fight. It becomes really stale when everyone is using the same thing and I'm not counting spare rations cuz spare rations was still getting beat out by Luna's, NF, SR, Trust, austringer, and even thorn. Give all the guns a fighting chance. It's almost not worth even using HC's in PVP anymore.

Yeah, the odds are stacked against hand cannons but they're better than pulse and scout rifles. You can't shoot as fast as you can because bloom will screw you. You have to shoot pause shoot. However, with the top AR's, you get a persistent stream to face. Pretty much blinding you and making you flinch. An overall buff to the stability of hand cannons would help. The #1 most used gun in the game right now is summoner. #9 is the spare rations. Pulse rifles and scout rifles are low on the list.

1 ReplyAh, yes, the whole... *Checks notes* 4-5 slight variations of the same exact braindead weapon with very few checks except for specific maps! So much better than at least 1 version of every primary archetype being usable! /s This meta is still a hand cannon meta, just with actual checks to playing overzealous. You have summoned me.
