Seriously, Overload Captains are Cancer

I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to give them nonstop teleporting, let alone having half of the Overload mods require constant hits just to use a single round, but that jackass made a mistake and they seriously need to add a cooldown to those Captains. Even Taken Captain Blockers for Gambit aren’t nearly as bad as these roided out bullet sponges, and that’s saying something.

      • Speaking as someone who has had cancer, went through surgery, chemotherapy and radiation and survived... Yes, they are cancer. That's why I feel so satisfied every time I kill them.

        • It's not that it's merely difficult it's that it's ALL determined by mods over gameplay. That's not player choice it's game company forced. Even then not only is it all down to mods but it's even enforced WHICH WEAPONS you have to use. It's a double helping of no-choice of what is the key content of Season 10. Obsession with having specific mods required over gameplay, restrictions on so-called affinities, of mods, the Artifact determining what mods you can and can't use and for how long, it's become ALL about restrictions and ALL about mods. Both those are utter garbage.

        • I am inclined to agree, i love a challenge on this game but the overload captains are more irritating more then challenging the constant teleporting, the constant health regen i can kinda deal with but over all they need a tune down on thier abilities nothing to crazy but a small adjustment

        • Agreed, we should just get rid of them...the whole design around having antibarrier and overload rounds around weak primaries just make them ever worse

        • Bungie: No No no! You gotta play how [i]we want you to play[/i]! With extra extra long load times. With cheaters we'll never ban, but we'll ban the victims of cheating. With extra grindy content that has no purpose or meaning. With lackluster content and rewards. Bugs that hurt your game play and progression. Take your weapons and gear from you under the lie/guise of powercreep and replace your now currently more powerful weapons and armor with really crappy weapons with piss poor rolls and stats. Anything that benefits the player we will same day Hotfix patch or lock out so you can't have any fun. We'll send our Elite BDF to give you Hell over legitimate concerns. If you want a change in management that's proven to be bad, we'll have our ninjas ban, lock, delete or move your post where it won't be seen. If you want really good additions and features or remove eververse we'll send our own Bungie employees masquerading as you gamers to cause division, lie, berate you as well as telling you "if you don't like it, play other games" or to delete your characters before you delete the game. This touches on a lot, but I'm sure I missed a few points. My thoughts, if Bungie's going to be against their player base this much, then what's the point in playing? Stop funding Bungie, they aren't going to get any better! You deserve better! 😎

        • Shoot them with overload rounds and they dont teleport anymore. Honestly, pop off a few handcanon shots with overload mod to stun them in place, then take them out with a full auto shotty or a sword. Takes seconds. If thats sounds too simple, its because it really is!

        • I think they're cool, fresh, and actually quite weak compared to every single other champion out there. The problem is how many consistent bullets it takes to disrupt them with smg. Gotta use either Divinity or Hand Cannon, or Sidearm. More dmg per shot, equals quicker disruption. Or... Divinity is instant. Just joined a Divinity help raid yesterday and the leader was super cool helping ppl. I joined to help as well. Keep looking in fireteams!

            • PSA: You can solo in overload champion by putting overload rounds on a 600 RPM auto rifle try it then thank me later (arc logic works wonders)

              • I hit em with my Divinity (also Overload) while my fireteam slashes em with a sword. Done in two slashes. Even solo those dudes are easy with a Divinity.

              • Don’t go play D1, keep playing kindergarten D2. I also understand better how Bungie can’t lose more clients, no other game in the world provide such an illusion of skill.

                • Cancer kills people for real this is just a game. Besides just sneak up an hit them with quick sword attacks, wirh the respective mod applied.

                  • One person uses overload weapon to stun, another uses Bastion. Takes 2 trigger pulls to kill them. If you use the supressing rasputin mod and sjoot the orbs, even better.

                  • Can I just add that the teleport spamming enemies have always been awful? Those teleports need a cooldown, 10-15 seconds minimum.

                  • Save those guys for last. Kill all the adds. And I mean all of them. Separate the two and attack one at a time with a sword equipped with the overload mod from column three. As a sentinel titan using throne cleaver, I make sure to take advantage of my ward of dawn if it somehow happens to be there.
