So you guys (Bungie) show that you have had the ability to paste sticky threads at the top of every forum. Had you guys taken the time to do this when B.next started, or even done it somewhere over the past few years, most all hate/malice/obtuse arguments of all kinds could have been eradicated by simply posting actual rules in each forum. Instead you pushed off the CoC to parts normally untouched by the majority all B.net users, and within them you made extraordinarily vague suggestions on forum behavior. Having the rules in a sticky thread in each forum would negate every single user here from ever saying "I didn't know". It would have given the mods a lot less grief in having to handle all the implications that they are biased and selective in how they operate. The state of the forums is on you guys. Most all of you came from B.old, knew what worked and how things were done, but you canned all of it with B.next only to have to (extremely) slowly reinstated much of B.old rules and functions. Making the B.next broad sweeping changes was a bad idea, and no one there took minute to think of "what will happen if"?
We hope that this change helps to keep things a bit cleaner around here.
Stop hoping and finally do something proactive about it rather than reactive as it all has been. Make Sticky threads a thing again, and put actual rules (not vague suggestions with tons of gray area) in them, also stating clearly what types of topics go in which forums, and a lot of the house cleaning will be self manifested. Also: Reinstate the -blam!- filter and stop banning people for words that they have no clue would ever possibly get them banned. It shouldn't be that difficult seeing that you already have a hidden kill bot looking for words as it is.
