Cross Save Didn't Transfer Gear
Hey guys, new to Destiny 2 on PC. Played the first game on PS4 when it released, and my buddies who cross saved from PS4 to PC all received their gear and told me to download the game so we could pick up where we left off.
I downloaded, transferred, and only my characters showed up. Vault is completely empty. None of my shaders or achievements are there, but the characters and guild info all popped up.
Not sure if its because I didn't play Destiny 2 on PS4? Would I have needed to progress on PS4 from 1 to 2 then cross save and pick back up on PC? Pretty frustrating considering I was going to purchase the expansions but this was a major buzzkill.

2 RepliesNothing transferred from Destiny 1, to Destiny 2. Any gear earned, shaders, etc, are locked to D1. The only thing that carried over, was the physical appearance of characters, and that was only if an account met the requirements for it. Anything that your friends claimed to have carried over from PS4 to PC, would be done through cross-save, with existing D2 progress that was made on PS4. If you did not play D2 on PS4, you would have nothing on your account to bring over in cross-save. Only after starting the game up on PS4, to activate the old character appearance transfer, would you have access to your original characters. Again, just their appearance and class, no progression, no gear, nothing from D1.

When I click Cross Save Setup it says "characters and Clan Progress is now playable" - No mention of gear. Found the link to Contact Support about cross save but it keeps asking to verify email. I completed that and its still asking for it. I will try to clear browser data and/or try again in the morning.
