And while you're at it, how it feels to chew 5 gum.

You squeeze the trigger, and then the gun bucks upward and backward. If it's a long gun, the butt hits you in the shoulder. If it's a pistol, it thumps against your palm. Force of impact depends on the power level of the gun. A .22 LR barely moves, while a 12 gauge shotty or .50 AE pistol will kick with great force. Most common pistol calibers can be fired one-handed by an average sized adult, but rapid fire requires two. Never shot an AR rifle before, I know their kick is light, but they're loud. If firing outdoors, it's really more of a pop than the SFX you hear in movies. And quite loud. If you're shooting indoors, you're probably wearing ear protection (valuing my hearing, I've never tried shooting indoors without protection), so it's less loud, but reverberates more.

... I enjoy it, especially when it's a shotgun, pointed at a gingerbread house...
not included in the DLC
2 RepliesBunmph (for shotguns and higher caliber rifles). Also, extremely loud.
Apparently I'm very very sensitive to noise. I get stunned when I shoot or more often hear others make loud noises.
Edited by Gingiebread: 3/18/2020 4:05:15 PMVery enjoyable. But different guns can “feel” different when you shoot them... pistols are a blast and close range. Also shot a little .22 rifle... cute little gun lmho, and at close range it shot pretty well. Could hardly feel the recoil. I’ve shot my dad’s shotguns that he would use for hunting turkeys. Man, shotguns pack a punch! It hurts if you don’t hold it right. Last time I went to the gun range, and elderly man let me shoot his AR15. My very first Airsoft gun was an AR15, so it was honestly an honor to use the real thing. So far the AR15 is my favorite gun to shoot... you pull the trigger and you just feel the power of it as the recoil kicks in, but it’s controlled. It’s loud, but it once you get into the zone it doesn’t matter. At least, that’s what my experience was like. Shooting guns isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay, but I love it. Firing that AR really made me marvel at the craftsmanship that goes into gunsmithing. To be honest, it made me all the more proud to be an American...
Thank you for your service, to those of you who are (or were) in the military. This country wouldn’t be what it is today without you guys.
Edited by Latrodectus5002: 3/18/2020 10:39:29 AMHonestly it’s not that different from shooting a nerf gun (of course depending on the gun)

3 RepliesI want to cut down a tree with a mini gun 😎

60 RepliesIt is an adrenaline rush, yet relaxing at the same time. Depending on the gun, it can also hurt like hell, lol (I am looking at you .50 Desert Eagle!). I find it highly enjoyable, but also understand that it is not for everyone.

5 RepliesDepends on the gun and if it's your first time shooting it. BB-Pellet gun - Sighting in for the first time and aiming at a target makes you feel like you're a hunter, even though you have no idea what a hunter feels like. Then you pull the trigger, only to find that it won't move because you forgot yo release the safety. Once corrected, you re-aim and fire, only to hear the soft THHAT of the air powered projectile launching device. If you actually hit the target, you feel triumphant. If you miss, you feel dejected. Small caliber rifle, hand gun - Same general set up as the BB-Pellet gun, only that you are more on edge because you know that you are actually firing a potentially lethal weapon. Once you pull the trigger and hear the sharp CRACK of the small caliber shell, it surprises you that it really isn't all that loud. Again your level of triumph or defeat is measured by the accuracy of the shot. Large caliber rifle, hand gun, or Shotgun - Same steps, more trepidation because not only are these more serious weapons, you know that they have more of a kick to them. Most regular large caliber rifles won't kick too terribly, depending on the load, but the POwwwwwwww*temporary loss of hearing followed by an intense ringing, lets you know that the shot you just fired meant business. If it was a shotgun, the bruise that is developing on your shoulder or your face, for the gun jumped and popped you across the eye you were aiming with, are beginning to swell. The accuracy isn't as poignant to you, for you are recovering from the shock of the sound and the impact of the recoil.

a) can't talk about that because it breaks the CoC. b) i don't chew gum.

A lot like sex: Overrated, unsatisfying, definitely didn't live up to all the hype, and it's enjoyed by folks with tiny sticks of 5 gum in their pockets. That or they're happy to see me.

It’s a peaceful, easy feeling. Nothing is quite like it. Makes you feel good when you land your shot where you aimed

1 ReplyWhen I shot the AR-50 .50 cal rifle, it felt like all my problems in my life were just erased for a few moments when the shockwave from the recoil went through my body. It felt amazing.

1 ReplyIt’s about as fun as shooting a bow and arrow but slightly louder. Favorite kind of shooting is rapid target shooting with a shotgun. There is a really good feeling when you get into a rhythm, it’s focused but relaxed. The motions of pumping, aiming, squeezing, reloading, are all very technical and practiced, but when it all comes together it feels really natural and fluid. I guess it’s kind of like driving a car. At first, each technical aspect can take up all of your brain power until you get used to it. -Watch the speedometer -Check mirrors -Accelerate -Turn the wheel Etc. Each of those things, at first, are an individual task that you need to focus on, but after awhile most of it becomes muscle memory, your brain adapts, and you’re putting it all together to just drive.

I’ve done it a few times. I’m indifferent about it. Doesn’t really do anything for me. Not sure if I’ve ever had 5 gum.

2 RepliesAs you look slowly down the sights, you flash a slight smirk at your anti 2nd amendment friend. Then, you relax your trigger finger, and line up your sights with the target. Then, squeeze! You hear the loud noise not quite like anything else and you see the clean hole in your target, right down through the middle.
