Seeing posts from PC users having network issues stating UPnP is set up, but wonder if they have actually confirmed the support for it is enabled properly within Windows. It is often overlooked, and may be why they keep getting dropped and/or load into empty instances.
Open your file browser and browse your network folder from the left panel.
If Network Discovery (UPnP in Windows) is enabled and working properly, you should find your router listed and be able to right click the icon and select "Properties". Clicking "Settings" in that panel should allow you to see what ports are actually getting set up. The Network Device tab should also list some info about your router as well.
If the Windows feature is disabled, you will get a pop up message it is off and will need to go into Control Panel's "Network and Sharing Center" and click "Change advanced sharing settings" in the left panel. Make sure to enable it for the proper network profile (hopefully you are using the Private profile), and tick the box for automatic setup of network devices.
Reboot after saving the changes and go back in there to make sure it actually stays enabled.
If you are not able to keep Network Discovery enabled and/or look at the properties of your router from within Windows, then something is monkeying with the supporting services. Here is a short guide for resolving the more common issues with getting Network Discovery working properly:

1 ReplyRegardless if this works I had few to no errors before this and now I have gotten suspended because of it. I don't see how they could not notice this unless they simply never network tested outside of their own systems.

2 RepliesThis solved it. Had disconnect every couple of minutes (even in patrol areas and public events). THANK YOU RAIST5150!!! I don't know why it works and the OP's explanation is not, I believe, entierly what is happening here. Network Discovery and UPNP is not, in my understanding, the same thing. I've always had UPNP enabled on the router and working but had Network Discovery in Windows 10 turned off. But now, turned ND on, rebooted and no disconnect anymore.

1 ReplyEdited by Crisidelm: 3/17/2020 10:21:30 AMYes, I can see my router listed; no "Settings" option is given though, in Properties I can see details of the modem (model, serial number, version number, producer, Mac, unique ID, device web page, Lan IP).

4 RepliesThis is wrong. Network discovery is related to local connections, not the internet. UPnP is not related to windows network discovery in any way, because it has it's own functionality in that regard as an SSDP (simple service discovery protocol). Additionally, most people having issues didn't have them before the new season dropped. This is not a problem on my end, because I haven't changed anything. And even if you're right, all my network discovery services are on, but UPnP is something on the modem anyway, and that's definitely on. In game, my NAT type is wide open. I've also set my PC up as a DMZ host, which means all my ports are wide open (security isn't an issue on this PC, but my ISP blocks a bunch of ports already so even if they're open for me, nothing's getting in that easily).

1 ReplyI will test this out and report back if it seems to work

Edited by koshi: 3/17/2020 5:26:18 AMNope, it's not a thing. And it was on before season update too.
