Has anyone noticed that Destiny has become a lot less stable on PS4?
Don't know about any other platform but it seems like about half the time I try to switch characters and every time I log back out to the title screen that the application crashes. This isn't intended to be a bug report. I'm really just wanting to know if other people are experiencing this or if it's just me somehow.

Obviously Bungie is shutting down server capacity, cutting costs every where they possibly can. It shows in the performance of this game on consoles. Game is horribly optimized on ps4. At first it was just supper laggy, then we had horrible frame rate slow downs that lasted a whole season, then loading times got 2-3 times longer. Now the game crashes constantly. It was never like this until shadowkeep came out. Yet tons of ppl still think activision was the problem. At the very least activision made sure Bungie kept the game running smoothly.

Definitely less stable! Crashing in Gambit and GPrime all the time on PS4! Huge load times to get to the Tower. Obviously less servers for the North East US!

2 RepliesYou know the difference between Ubisoft and Bungie? Ubisoft sees every player as their community focus not just YouTubers and streamers. When there's an issue that needs to be fixed Ubisoft fixes it within a week and not wait 3 months. They take every players feedback seriously not just professional gamers. Ex escalation protocol being too difficult at launch that idea came from a YouTuber at the Bungie summit. if it was such a great idea they wouldn't had downgraded the difficulty several months later. That'sa big red flag maybe bungee should listen to every type of player not just players who only consists 20% of the community. They play for money we play because we love and support Bungie big difference.

I was having the same problem last night on Xbox one. I was trying to get my subclass achievements to unlock and when I would sign out from destiny quite often the game would crash completely. Never got the warlock achievement to pop either.

I play on ps4. I haven't noticed any issues. But I normally just stick to one character per season unless it's iron banner and I do bounties for every character.

Yep it has and I know people at Bungie will keep telling us so it's because of our console or our internet. Well simply I don't have error codes from PlayStation from other games it's only from Destiny. I don't get kicked off the Bungie server for stupid issues unlike in division 2 that is on a server, and you don't get constant error codes in stupid unstable circumstances when there are too much people online.

Pc, ps4, and Xbox are unstable and bugged. Massive latency in controls popped up on me yesterday in to this morning. Game freezes when you try to exit. “Peak-ers” advantage has had whole new meaning where you are getting shot before encounters are seen. As in bullets flying then you see the player. Constantly kicked from the fire team Etc etc etc

2 RepliesYeah, ever since this season started it’s been really bad. The game crashed just loading up three times this week, invisible characters and weapons everywhere, black loading screens, super long loading screens. It’s bad, and I’ve never had any problems before this

I've experienced several blue screen game crash errors on PS4 as well.

i couldnt go flawless because one of my teammates was always getting beaver error code to orbit once in 3 or 4 matches. I also keep getting kicked from the game world when im at the tower. Im getting those errors on PC btw.

I'm getting tons of connection errors, from respawning with 0 ammo to kicked back to title screen. But that's on PC. Maybe it's their potato farm servers.

I average between 1-4 error reports per day (ps4). Like the OP said, upon starting the game, changing characters or logging out. On PC I have been crashing alot as well. Constant hang up crash when I try to quit out of Destiny but do get random crashes when loading into destinations, mostly in the EDZ.

It seems fine on my Xbox One X, but it crashes on my PS4 slim every time I exit. I find the Slim doesn’t do a good job running D2 to begin with: lots of lag and jitter. My son’s original PS4 runs the game better.

Got the update for the new season installed and it sent my radiator CPU fans through the effing roof and crashed my computer super hard. I've never experienced a crash like that before with any game (usually Destiny is my best running title). Had to reboot and do a restore from my BIOS. When I started back up and opened Steam, the game had been completely uninstalled without my doing from my C drive.

Constant error codes, game crashes, etc. And I [i]know[/i] it’s not on my end because if it were, literally all my other games would be having similar problems. It’s only Destiny that this is happening with.
