Why call Raid Sherpaing "Carries"?

Checking out the new tracker emblems, not only do they apparently not take a lot of what I've already done into account, I also stumbled upon something I do kind of find offensive: Specifically, the Carries on Raid Tracking. The Description reads something like: "Guardians you have carried to their first completion of..." Seriously, why? Sherpaing was a great expression, as the people I've helped with first completions got stuff explained to them, yes, but they weren't carried. They pulled their weight. The whole notion of carrying, whether in PvP or PvE, holds, to me at least, a pretty negative and condescending meaning . (Funny side note, the one Trials triumph, where you "help" another guardian to their first flawless seems much more akin to "carrying", but that's different, I guess.) In any case, I would respectfully ask to change Carries to Sherpas on the Emblem Trackers.

The structure of the raids make it so that you can’t really carry people though the raids anymore. Crota, yeah, you could carry people through that raid, but everyone has to know what they’re doing in D2.

  • Oh, and great job removing the Prestige Clears from the old emblems and not making new Prestige Trackers. Seriously, it's great you're adding stuff and features, but taking something away without replacing it? Sorry, I have no understanding for that at all.
