THIS IS RELATING TO PVP
IDK, to me, I find Bungie's logic of, "OMG ppl r using this gun/item too much, let's nerf it!" is really dumb. We have been in the same repetition process for so long. Something gets nerf, we move to the next best thing, that thing then gets nerfed, then we move the next best-best thing and it continues. Then Bungie makes a surprise Pikachu face whenever the community responds negatively when something that was just popular (not overpowered) is nerfed. I get MOST of the popular guns are outliers and are usually quote on quote, "the best", but, there will always be outliers in any FPS so they shouldn't just nerf these guns to the ground to make every other thing in the game balanced. They need to go back to their original roots and learn how to properly balance things. They either make things utter garbage, or they make them god tier.
Though last season was quite dry content-wise, I think most weapons were quite balanced. Sure guns like the Last Word needed a nerf and guns like auto rifles in PvP needed a buff. However, they completely over speculate things when something needs balancing. PPL would complain over the Last Word needed a nerf and I knew for a fact it did, but it has gone to a point where Bungie is trying to make EVERYTHING balanced. And in a game like destiny, I feel like this is quite impossible. Some gun archetypes are always going to be better than other gun archetypes. Guns with precision should always be meta because they are the hardest to use and bring the most satisfaction to the user. And it has been like this in most FPS. PPL who are "good" is decent at the game because they have come to the point where they have taken the time to master a gun's cons.
Point is that Bungie needs to give guns its pros and cons. And at this point, they either get rid of a gun's pros and make them useless or get rid of their cons and make them god tier.
