Will we at least see the almighty in the sky from the tower?
Surely as the weeks go on we get to see it flying down and then get blown up by Rasputin.
Even better what if Rasputin fails and the next dlc we get a new tower. Or it hits the traveler and damages it and the moon pyramid comes alive to finish it off.

2 Replies1. You won't because that would take effort. 2. We can't fail to stop the Almighty because if it actually collides with the Earth it will be an extinction level event that will set the entire planet on fire.

ALL OF OUR WEAPONS, were stored in the tower like Dumbasses, unprepared at all times for a fight to the Death with the Darkness. Which goes against being a a Guardian, but Luke Smith needed to put HIS creative mark in Destiny as he has so enjoys to state, it's like watching a dog mark his fire hydrant and come back to you happy, asking if he did good. So we lost our weapons and gear and everything, once already. Not again, PLEASE. I haven't seen a single 900 rpm Auto Rifle. Not even a 810 rpm AUTO the 720 with the newest buff, are just barely pushing the 1.0s ttk, of u only miss a few presicion shots, which is good. They feel like an actual combat weapon, of course they could use another buff to ensure they continue to feel competitive, but that would be not to damage, but to hit detection is still a little weak. I WANT MY SOULSTEALER CLAW, with Rodeo and Counterbalance Perks back. Idk why I would have left such a legendary weapon in the vault considering I took that weapon from Destiny 1 year 1 to the Year 3 pvE end game and PvP endgame due to the time I spent grinding out the perfect roll. And then I left it, in the tower you say..? If I lose my shit another time I'll be mad yo

And they should definitely consider the two options: succeed and fail to shoot it down. Though, I kinda doubt they'll go for the fail option even if the player base does fail to meet the requirements or they'll make the requirements low enough so it's impossible to fail. And if we fail and we lose the city, we should not get a new tower. We lose the whole planet. Forcing us to move to a new planet and seek out former foes to see if they want to join forces. Would be a perfect time to make peace with the Fallen.

So heres whats gonna happen. First no, we wont see the almighty in the sky. We will do our best to stop it but we will fail and it wil crash into Banshee destroying all the upgrade modules. Then Banshee will make a newer infusing material that will only work on exotics. That's gonna be the story behind the weapons being un-infusable anymore.

Archival is correct, the Almighty is large enough that if it hits the planet it will be an extinction level event. Everything on the planet will die. And you have to consider the speed it’s moving at. It’s large enough that we’d be able to see it coming from space once it got close enough, but if it actually gets close enough to be noticeable we’d probably be minutes away from impact. If it gets close enough to appear the same size as the moon in the sky then we’d be seconds away from impact.

We might, eventually. It should take it a good amount of years to drift close enough for us to see it though. Strap in for the long haul.

Well it’s be a speck in the sky box as it’s traveling from the sun to earth so if you want a tiny speck in the sky box then go right ahead

Something of that size rocketing towards earth from space will do way more than destroy the tower/city. If rasputin fails then we're talking the destruction of a massive portion of land and the possible extinction of humanity (at least those that remain in and near the city). It would wipe us out for sure. Ain't just gonna "build a new tower" from that.

I JUST walked by Saint as he said “Let the Guardians see the Almighty inching ever closer to the City before we go up there and bash it in half” or something like that. I think that’s going to be the case.
