Flawless vs not flawless
People who haven't been Flawless should never face those who have been, this is getting ridiculous. Please I love your game but this is not the way for trials.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume you never played D1 trials because if you did this post wouldn't exist... I never went flawless in D1 because I have no interest in pvp Same with trials of the nine I doubt I will go flawless now either and that's nothing bad I just don't have an interest in that side of the game. I did play comp a bunch to get recluse and that wasn't as terrible as i thought it would be especially with freelance. I say the above to make it clear that this just my opinion and is not one from a pvp focussed mindset With that in mind I don't think there is anything wrong with matching flawless teams, if you wanna be the best you gotta beat the best, right? Also let's say they did introduce that as a rule, as time goes on the player base of people that have been flawless will outweigh those who haven't and people who haven't been flawless would struggle getting games and probably have a rougher time than just facing those stronger teams. If you wanna go flawless you should beat whoever is put in front of you that's the way I see it. stop moaning that your opponents are too hard and maybe git gud scrub haha

This is not a good design, not from a competetive perspective or from a matchmaking perspective. Better option in my opinion is to incentivice playing for folks who cannot reach the top ladder, besides flawless also being uniquely rewarding. Bungo tried this by implementing rewards for every 3., 5. and 7. win regardless of flawless status (powerful + pinnacle engrams). This is the direction they should take, if it's not enough as is then improve upon it instead.

3 RepliesThere needs to be separate matchmaking if you've been flawless I was helping a couple clan mates get the 3 win thing and we face 1000+ light or a carry team almost every game they didn't even wanna play anymore this is gonna drive even casual pvp players out of this in droves

Was watching my friend play for the first time yesterday and his very first match ever was against a team that had gone flawless 12 times. Needless to say it didn't end well.

Naw you have to earn the lighthouse. Don’t want pve scrubs getting pvp gear kinda like how I can’t get raid exotics.

The current card win based MM is basically a competetive ladder. If you can't get flawless, you're not performing well enough. The correct answer is to perform better. What you're proposing is progressively cutting the top ladder out, until eventually the bottom becomes the top. That is not a competetive system.

How about a pool of players that got to the lighthouse(flawless or not) and a 2nd pool of players wich hasn't. Works for both.
