Let us turn off Hints

I have a hint screen that won't go away during game play that either blocks my compass at the top or my weapons menu on the bottom. Is it possible to get rid of that. I am brand new to this game and it's kinda ruining it for me

At least make the advice useful like how make a public event heroic for the selected planet, or how the warmind event works, or the objective in crucible/strike....something?

While it's clear that it's a rather half-arsed attempt to fix the unbelievably long arrival times by giving you something to look at while waiting, isn't it the cse that they only progress if you press X? If so then just don't press X ;-)

I get the idea, but at least let the Veterans turn it off. We know what's up. They definitely aren't a big deal, but give us the option. It makes no sense.
