To start, enabling the artifact was such a clueless move. Its like Revelry Comp all over, again. I feel like the devs are all stove touchers.
Secondly, the loot lockouts and lack of loot is another ignorant move. The whole thing about Trials D1 was, while a pinnacle PvP activity, anybody could get loot from it, but the prestige of flawless came with emblems, Adept weapons and special armor only found there. Locking gear at a certain tier of accomplishment AND rotating the gear to force coming back each week, on top of lore, ugh... dirty pool.
And, of course, there's the whole recovs at first or second match, and other great matchmaking shenanigans, to boot. I still feel like there should be a pinnacle 3 man activity that's a PvE counterpart to Trials that shares the same themes and loot pool, but that's just me.

We’re the other half of the brain?

2 RepliesIt will always be shitty because of flawless. The hardcore players stomp easily, not really even a challenge for them. Everyone else is thus motivated to play super sleazy, flat out cheat or pay for recoveries. All so the top 5% of PvP players can have a vanity mode that is EZ for them.

Yep, Luke Smith's the problem! https://www.vice.com/en_ca/article/g5xkgw/why-destiny-2-isnt-working-and-how-to-fix-it

They would release previous trials stuff. This is the first season. As new trials gear gets added I would suspect the older gear would drop more fluidly while playing. Just speculation, but trial just released. It makes sense to have to work for the new gear.
-
8 RepliesIt was enabled for one weekend chill out
-
When you forget bungie said they couldn't disable the artifact power until next week and warned us about it and you still complain about it. Here you are sir 🤡
-
3 RepliesThe people who cry about the artifact but still want level differences enabled will always be my favorites. "Advantages for me but not for thee tee-hee-hee!" The tears amuse me, but the lack of self awareness and irony even moreso.
-
I think they're removing it next week.
-
its funny how people make topics and then insult devs or make demands in the title so they just get ignored
-
6 RepliesI can see the complaints except for recovs. Way I see it is you’d be getting shit on by someone else if you weren’t matching them anyways. Want to beat skilled players in a game mode intended more for them then play and improve. Complaining you can’t beat a skilled player won’t help
-
its almost like they said it would only be enabled for the first weekend not to mention ive ran with 975's and got flawless
-
At least the primarily PvP players have something to do now. They’ve been asking for something for awhile now. They should be taking in feedback and maybe they will improve rewards in the future. Pretty hard to excuse the way it released, but hopefully it will improve.
To start, enabling the artifact was such a clueless move. Its like Revelry Comp all over, again. I feel like the devs are all stove touchers. I still feel like there should be a pinnacle 3 man activity that's a PvE counterpart to Trials that shares the same themes and loot pool, but that's just me.
1) It was enabled cause they couldn’t get a patch out even then people who didn’t grind wouldn’t have competed weekend 1 anyway. 2) I honestly do agree with the lockout but I don’t agree the options to getting the weapons and armor. I agree with the lockout cause it prevents players from getting everything in 1 weekend and it’s something we aren’t used to. I’m thinking about it and the weapons up to 5 wins to me is fine. I was trying to type a different reasoning but I couldn’t really find one. Maybe 7 wins is a little unfair cause that’s literally a flawless/game 7 game to unlock a weapon in the pool. Maybe game 3,4,5? On paper it makes sense to go 3,5,7. 3) The special armor, no shader, no emblem for past 7 wins and flawless, no adept weapons is definitely a let down. You could easily put the new perk Celerity as the intrinsic perk for adept weapons and shade them differently. We should have the option to keep our flawless weapon color variation after the weekend is over or simply have that as a flawless shader. Even Trials of the Nine had their own models and a choice of two flawless armor pieces. We also had a flawless shader then too. Hopefully at the end of the rotations they’ll all be free to obtain. 4) Nothing can stop the recovery and aimbotting/lag switching. Luckily I had already gone flawless on the first run cause I dealt with some very questionable crap after like blinking hunters, shots through walls, straight up being kicked to orbit for seemingly no reason (Internet is fine), shots that I swore I hit. I versed a .89kd who is playing at a 3.12kd in Trials. Granted I’ve been over performing in trials peaking at a 3.1 KAD but that’s a big jump. Point of the matter is that crap always happens and that it why I’ll always run the free lose until I’m doing things like get tokens. Tried to be as fair as possible but that’s my take. Good luck out there guardian
If you want an easy flawless, have 8 shots of tequila, get a little giddy, and boot up Trials... went flawless on the first card with the most kills in the run. I had 78 elims in 8 games which I didn’t even realize what level I was playing at and how I even performed that well. It’s going to be my flawless strategy next weekend lol
3 RepliesOr maybe you guys just aren’t good at the game? My first flawless run I was in the 960s and going against 1000+ players and still doing fine and my second flawless run I was only 980. You guys are just looking for any reason to complain about the game

Calls everyone brainless, doesn't even realize it's "week zero" and literally not even actual Trials yet lol.

25 RepliesEdited by CaptainW1nky: 3/15/2020 1:56:34 PMIn D1 trials loot was locked to I believe win 3,5 and flawless.. all flawless did was give you an adept weapon and an ornament... d2 flawless you get a weapon/armor/ ascendant shard. About the only thing I'd change is maybe make it 3 or 4 ascendant shards seeing it is a tad bit more challenging to go flawless then to run a nightfall. I like that the loot pool is locked. Gives you a carrot to chase each weekend which PvP needed desperately. Plus you can grind cards for more gear on top of more tokens to chase god rolls. I really like the fact that you can keep going flawless and getting rewards. Over all trials was fun this weekend can't wait to level up this alt and get back in there. I can say though that other primaries need to get buffed up to compete with hardlight... that gun us unbelievably annoying seeing it has no damage fall off. There is. The dungeon.

Getting random drops was best part of trials guess we know what bungie used when they ran out of TP
-
I’ve been enjoying trials, had a ton of fun, struggled a lot yesterday, but went flawless a few times Friday. Disappointed with the loot lockout, but that means next week will be locked in with the good guns I guess, so it’s not all terrible.
-
The best part about flawless in trials D1? Elemental primaries. Thats all flawless was for really. You got the armor and weapons from just playing, it was fun to play back then. Now its a shit hole for people who spend half their life sitting behind the screen with no job or life. My job takes most my time even if I slaved all of my free time to D2 I would not make it to 1010 by the end of the season.

Stop crying

6 RepliesI remember them saying Trials was removed because it didn't fit their vision of what Trials should be. Can anyone tell me what changed enough to warrant the removal and return of it?
-
1 ReplyWhat’s wrong with trials? I love it. Finally pvp is fun again
-
2 RepliesTrials is awesome. My favorite part of D2 to date.

1 ReplyIt was enabled to streamers grinding to 1010 would be able to show off to their viewers.

Makes it worse that they reward gate keeping...

1 ReplyHi Trials welcome back I'm excited to see you. Match 1 couple of 965 fireteams play and we squeak out the win. Matches 2-5 we get matched with teams from 985-1000+ and we're melted with a glance by PvE grinders. Bye Trials see you next time! Tldr: Making Trials light level dependent is silliness for silly folk.
