Can't join an online Friend (greyed out)
One of my long time destiny pals has suddenly got an issue where no one can join him when he's online. (ps4)
On the roaster screen, his profile image is a grey box (not his emblem). His name is in a black box (no emblem) . He is online, both on the ps4 friends list and destiny 2 roster pages. When I click to join him, I can only view profile or invite to fire team - I can't Inspect player. It says to me that he is "in orbit", even when he's not.
We have tried adjusting privacy settings and fireteam settings and can't work out why this is. I also can't join him even if he sends me an invite.
The only way we can play is if he joins me. Even then, the fireteam column on the roster page doesn't show us as in the same fire team.
Any ideas?

It looks like it can be fixed by setting your NAT type to open. Problem is, after that you can join them, but you get kicked from every loading screen you try with them.

1 ReplyRestarting the game will sometimes work. However this should still get on the list of issues. It happened to me too last night with many people. One person was even able to join my team himself, but on the screen in orbit he was listed as light level 0 and no emblem.
