Is stating my personal opinion that -Chinese based companies buying stakes in US companies causes those US companies to change policy in order to placate and pander to their China-based investors is a cultural and economic strategy to gain more of the world market - considered “political” if I limit my discussion strictly to the economic and cultural implications without mentioning politics? Chinese cultural influence as a result of China based investors and sponsorships, as well as US companies attempting to appeal to the Chinese market can be clearly seen over recent years. Movies, art, video games, travel destinations, shopping malls, and more, have a noticeable shift in cultural presentation in order to appeal specifically to the Chinese market in order to bring in more revenue. The spread of the corona virus has limited a lot of the travel from China, and travel destinations that have appealed to Chinese clients have seen a significant downturn in attendance. I think it’s an interesting cultural phenomena that I’d like to discuss, and in my humble opinion is a strictly cultural and economic topic. I personally dislike political and religious posts, but enjoy talking about advertising, finance, and culture. Especially the way that some companies seem to be completely abandoning their core values and replacing them with core values that would better appeal to foreign investment.
