Steam will detect controllers for Destiny 2 but will not enable them in game.
Meanwhile every other Steam game with controller support works as intended. (everything from Halo wars to half life 2)
So i have to use DS4 Windows for both Xbox and PS4 controllers as the default steam settings dont work for D2 on PC and havent since launch.
Fix this Bungo. You're better than this.

6 RepliesCareful with DS4 windows, it got my account banned 2 days after shadowkeep launched, it was a perma ban, I had to start all over, this is my account now that I play on. DS4 windows was the only other program that I had on my PC besides Destiny 2 and Steam that wasn't a factory application. I was really surprised but after alot of people telling me and researching it, their systems detected DS4 and flagged it.

If you go into your Steam settings, there is a section for controller settings. Many users have found that utilizing the Steam controller settings can cause conflicts with the in-game settings, which can lead to not being able to use your controller to play the game. This is especially true if you use Big Picture mode. This is an issue that has popped up for numerous games on Steam, and there’s lots of posts about it on various sites. Disable the Steam controller settings, at least for Destiny specifically, and you should have no problems using an Xbox controller to play. Destiny has always natively supported controller use, and does not require Steam controller settings, where some other games do.
