Hunter dodge shouldn't disable tracking on grenades

I don't see any reason why an ability that's on a 9 second cooldown should completely disable my scatter grenade. .i think it has the same effect for arcbolt

  • Here's my take on classes with PVP. Hunters; use guns and dodge to win Titans; Smash, use guns and play smart to win Warlocks; stay back and use abilities to win No class is OP, it's just that the Hunters perks and abilities favour gameplay that all the classes have small doses of where as the other classes need to be played to their strengths. I ONLY play Hunter because I like double jump and hate abilities in my FPS games, if this changed I'd probably stop playing Destiny. With that said, I agree, it makes them easy to play. Dodging shouldn't make grenades lose tracking, it should make the track take longer to reach its destination at most, that way if the player times it right, they would take a little damage instead of dying from one homing grenade.

    • I agree! And I also don't see why a Warlock rift should heal the damage I just did. That's BS I worked hard for that damage. Also what's the point of shooting at Titans when they can just put a wall up and block my shots?

    • That is the only thing it does though. It disables tracking. It is a DODGE. Do you know what dodge means? It means you EVADE something.. making that something MISS.

      • dodging does not cut scatter grenades, only tracking like arc, fire, and axion bolt. Those are literally the only 3 grenades in the game it can cut, and no it will not be fixed as it has been in the game since TTK

      • Can we all take a second to consider how pathetic tracking grenades are to begin with? I’ll show my age here but Christ... back in my day grenades required a modicum of skill to use successfully 😂.

          Is simple if u don't want to worry about tracking grenades die and respawn, no issue anymore, come to think of it this is the solution to everything. Anyway, no it shouldn't, mabey confuse them for a bit so u have a chance to mabey run and wait for the timer, normally they catch you before they end, but if dodging were to distract then they could make it so you have a chance to just out run the grenade, like how u can out run slovabomb, only did that once tho

        • Then hunters shouldn’t dodge. What if a titan throws up a barricade as he’s about to hit? Wouldn’t that negate your tracking grenade? Stop complaining about every little thing that doesn’t go your way.

            Its def bs just another broken ability that hunters crutch on which is evident by all the down voting on this thread. Best neutral game? Check Best mobility and jump? Check Best class ability with lowest cool down? Check Best supers? Check Why not give them extra abilities like making tracking grenades meaningless against literally half of the players in pvp. Let’s give them constant invisibility while we’re at it too.

            • Lmfaoooo look at the “give spine another tripmine” post it has a ton of upvotes and “buff shards” they both have a lot of upvotes, but "nerf Hunter" those get no upvotes God these forums are so full of Hunter mains and bias it's so hilariously obvious now

                Just another reason why dodge is so broken and op compared to other classes abilities. Healing rift does not heal fast enough to save you from a grenade and there are several grenades that totally bypass and go right through barricade. But yea hunters are totally fine! Lol. I just love listening to huntards constantly try to defend how hunters not over powered.

                • Dodge can break tracking on arcbolt grenades, any tracking grenades like axiom bolt from warlocks and believe it or not, dodge can break tracking on stormcaller! Yup its confirmed and its real, Idk who thought giving hunters a 9 second cooldown on dodge, breaking aim assist tracking AND breaking tracking on grenades was a good idea on an already the best class in the game. Hunters have so much going for them its ridiculous, this is literally why I made a hunter strictly for pvp because hunters really are the best class in the game for pvp hands down and anyone denying it is straight up blind.

                  • Dodge just needs a longer cool down. Especially in PvP. It’s an instant use high reward with a low cool down.

                      • The problem is that you are using scared grenades. Even if they didn't dodge the scatter would do nothing at all. In fact, I believe that scatter nades somehow heal your opponent.

                      • Dodge just needs a longer cooldown. It offers the most coverage for crucible due to how it functions as an ability, and it doesn't even just dodge, but it can reload your weapon from reserves which can bypass certain weapons with long reload times like shotguns or machine guns (or pribina d). The fastest the hunters dodge should come back is 15 seconds at max mobility and it should scale up from there (not by very much, I don't really care about the base cooldown). I'm not saying the dodge is op at all, but its functionality (in crucible) is too universal for little effort and the cooldown allows it to be spammed far too frequently.

Just disable every classes abilities put the iron boots from legend of Zelda ocarina of time on everybody so NOBODY can jump and remove all weapons no grenades no supers.. Put tin foil hats on and bras and pass around balloons and pay eachother nice compliments .. Destiny fkn sarcastiball

                            Warlocks rift shouldn’t give an over shield or allow extra damage then. Only heath regeneration that’s it and the time should be cut in half for duration. Barricade should be taken out in 3 shots from a primary and should only last half its duration. Bye. Also it’s only on a 9 second cool down if you’re fully equipped for it. Warlock rift comes back it 25 second when fully equipped for it as well and the ability lasts about that long.
