"Crucible Now Unplayable" Guardian Says, Participating in Forum Ritual
A local Guardian says he's had enough of the Crucible, adding that it's beyond repair, and joining in a six-year-long daily practice in the forums.
"Utter shit," ArceusFalcon says, "Crucible has been going down a hellhole lately. It used to be fun, but this? This is awful. I'm really quitting destiny this time."
This is the fifth time this month that ArceusFalcon has submitted this forum post, continuing a long tradition of guardians confirming the Crucible is "now unplayable" after Bungie nerfs something.
"This isn't the game company that inspired me with Halo," he says. He declined to comment on BR or Armorlock, "They're obviously incompetent, and don't know shit about what they are doing."
ArceusFalcon's speech is the latest in a long line of time-honored complaints by guardians, ever since the Great Auto Rifle Nerf of D1Y1.
BigBoyNoodle, another Guardian, says he is mystified on how Crucible exists at all, seeing as it has become unplayable every weapons balance patch.
"I just play PvE," he says, "I don't want to go in there."
At publishing time, ArceusFalcon was in the Crucible, because he "loves the gunplay."

Ok but for real, guys. I've been on these forums since D1, and every other day someone is telling me it's now at a new level of trash.
There comes a point where you have to wonder if it really is so bad when people have been criticizing the same thing over and over again mindlessly.
Crucible isn't really up to snuff, imo. But it's not that bad. Destiny just isn't a hardcore PvP game. *Shrug*.

10 Replies1% of the player population meaning the sweatys, streamers, cheaters and sherpers all demanded that Trials come back and Bungie gave them what they wanted. This season is going to be a complete disaster for Bungie. I predict a drop of 50% in the player base because of their insistence on catering to only 1% of the player population.

The people who are saying it’s trash are typically, from my experience, not good at PvP and need to have kills handed to them with extremely OP weapons. Simple as that. They don’t get that then they claim it’s garbage. I like the state of which the PvP part of the game is in.

2 RepliesI think the last word nerf went a little too far on console. Sniper players have a much harder time shutting down shotgun rushers. Also, the gun kills in 6 shots in many occasions and the magazine only has 8 shots. I think damage values should go back to where they were, with a decrease in overall damage range.

3 RepliesEvery time I play Crucible I have to endure losing the first 5 games or so in order to be matched up against other sucky players like myself. Then I can win a couple. Then I get bumped up again with the cheaters and professional Destiny players. It's kinda nonsense. They know that I suck the entire time. Just put me with the other sucky players.

4 RepliesComp ducks sick....nearly a week trying to get to legend on solo. On mystic 3 hoping to get legend before reset. Nope. So beyond repair with negative games. The game play is out of my hands. I can’t even kill no one with my randy or Luna. F it. I can’t control signal strength. I can’t control lag. I miss the old way of playing crucible. Now this is torture. Thank you Jim beam. 3 RepliesAll I play is PvP because I’m always late to raids and can’t get an invite period because you have to “no what your doing or have completed it”. So PvP is horrible right now. I had a positive kd in the middle of the season now it’s .94 which is pathetic. I have beginner teammates 9-10 games and the games where I have somewhat decent players just follow me around and as soon as I start shooting at an opponent they get the clean up kill and end up with 11 kills to my 3 then message me and tell me I suck🤦🏻♂️. Players quit out of comp all the time and I’m always matched against legend or unbroken opponents. I cannot even begging to explain all the shitty messages and get telling me I suck and stay out of comp and what’s maddening is most of the time it’s by players that had a lower score than me. Lag is absolutely horrid getting killed when your behind cover. Players run out and stand in the middle , get killed and so the same thing over and over then get mad at me for not winning 1v3. PvP needs some real work and I highly doubt it’s gonna be any better next season. They talk about balancing weapons and instead of taking their own advice which is looking to see Spare Rations and Mindbenders are the two most used weapons in PvP meaning it’s unbalanced. Instead they listen to streamers who only run hc/shotty and nerf every gun that’s good at countering hc/shotty apes. I can almost guarantee trials will be teams of ultra sweaty apes running Sparebenders or hc/sniper and if you do t have a positive kd you will never get to even try Trials.

2 RepliesYeah, these complaints are as old as the forums... FWIW, I'm having more fun Crucible than ever! Partly because there's preciously little else to do, but still... and usually I hate all PvP activities with a passion. Solo comp is really good.

The PvP stuff Bungie offers currently is, and has been since 2014, is [b]one of[/b] the [i]worst[/i] PvP offerings available across all platforms. Especially PC.

This forum never changed its purpose since Destiny1. It always was a gathering place for kids being upset about useless stuff so they can't annoy people that actually love this game. First of all question were how representative any comments/feedback being made in this or any other forum are for the player base of each game. 5% of players? 10%??? The ones shouting loudest or shouting at all are not necessarily typical for the majority of people playing. Yes, I see the risk of VIPs such as youtubers or streamers skewing perception quite a bit. Anyway. I am vocal sometimes myself. Saying I like this and that I don't. With regards to D2 PvP - the only one I know in any game - I say I love-hated it in the first 6-9 months particularly as I got my a.. handed off almost all the time. Whether SBMM has favoured me or whether I actually improved a bit I don't know but at least it feels good enough for me at times. Trials. I will no doubt be annihilated 100%. Still will try. Overall it's a nice game both PvE and PvP wise and as long as the nice things outweigh the bad things I will continue. Have fun!

I think it's better than it's ever been. It could be a lot better with dedicated servers and better matchmaking, there are some wacky matches I get into, but the majority are fine.

Lol This post made my day. XD Nah the reason people are so salty and stirred up like a bunch of sweaty streamer hornets is because all their meta gear is getting left behind in the new season and they won't be abled to bump it up with the new light levels. So everyone is in a stir and then you got the usual kids that are just pretty trash. If I had to be honest Crucible is the closest to balance it awhile in D2 terms. The only real issue being place of the meta for the past few seasons. (Erentil, shotguns, snipers, 150 HC, etc.) The changes in the next season and the reintroduction of trials brings alot of hype and hope. Mainly the fact that other PvP modes won't be as bloated by no lifes and streamers.

It depends. When I'm not getting lag, and the same map 3 times in a row, it can be a lot of fun. Everyone has different expectations of what PvP should be. Those that want Halo and a level playing field, are wasting their time here. The bigger issue I have with PvP is the lack of rewards. Aside from a handful of pinnacle and ritual weapon quests, there is no reason to play PvP. That is unless you are brand new player and Shaxx's mediocre gear appeals to you. Or, if getting tons of uselss blue crap is your idea of a reward. lol.

"I begged and begged and begged for Trials of Osiris to return to Destiny 2 - and for the Destiny 1 weapons and armor as well, because they looked awesome - after they killed off Trials of the Nine. It's what the competitive PVP players want: a total sweatfest with sweet endgame loot, and something they can look forward to every weekend - just like it was in D1.
