Been riding the same bs roller coaster of incompetence since darkbelow 2014. Ive about had enough. This shit has just gone so far south of what it was meant to be i just dont feel like playing at any point any more. Crucible was fun for me before this atrocious shit with the matchmaking started plaguing every single gd match. There is no fun in destiny 2 crucible, only completely -blam!-ing lopsided games/team composition and shit tier garbage netcode with even worse server maintenance and balancing. This game doesnt have a lot to stand on, and taking away the relevance of our gear will be what kills this franchise for me. Its just unbelievable that bunhie has managaed to fall this far. -blam!- sake its sad. Just wish something about their aproach to this game would change...

Edited by Niinja Slayer: 3/10/2020 7:36:56 AMYou’ve about had enough? I’ve taken many breaks when I’m not having fun. Have you ever actually taken a break? Bungie is self controlled now.

1 ReplyIt's been this way for 5 years. Why are you acting like this is new? You either like the game or dont, if you have feedback, great...if not, why repost the same cliche crap people always say

*loads rocket powered sniper, infinitely accurate* I’m sorry what did you say?

6 RepliesTalking to Bungle is akin to pi$$ing into the wind. It was ever thus, I.e., since D1Y1, and ever since thereafter. Back then, I opined - many, many times, that WE Guardians - excluding members of the BDF, are on the wrong side of a toxic relationship; something akin to having a drug- or gambling- or alcoholic addict for a son/daughter or partner. No matter the hopes one has for them to just listen and try to make life better, they nod the head, promise ‘we’re listening!!...’, and then repeat the same ol’-same-ol’ $hite again and again and again...ad nauseam! TWAB (The Wretches at Bungle) are not the same people who caused a great many of us to follow them from HALO; the current lot are of a different stripe altogether. Personally, my gaze falls upon the upper echelon - the handful of people who actually call the shots, and their advisors; rank and file employees are merely doing their jobs, as directed... We all know how that one works. ‘Lions led by Donkeys...’ How long I wonder, before an undercover Guardian whistleblower breaks cover and reveals all?! 🧐 Meanwhile: Trials, which ‘they’ said was never coming back, starts next week! 😂 Watch out for: LAG+++ / ‘Exploiters’ / CHEATERS / Paid Carries plus related advertising for such services / Modded Controllers firing Autorifles, etc. @ 3million+ rounds-per-minute / ‘Invincibles’ and all the usual shenanigans / stacked Teams of Stompers / Lag EXTRA / Unbelievable Matchmaking / Rage Quitting / Etc...etc. 🤮 Be ready for Bungle’s reactions to the a/m... Reaction # 1: ‘We’re listening!’ 🤥 Reaction # 2: Radio Silence ‘Twas ever thus... SMH 🧐 Just my 2d worth. YMMV. Cheers! All WE’VE ever wanted was for ‘THEM’ to MDGA! 😩 MDGA : Make Destiny Great Again 👍

27 RepliesNo personal disrespect. But the fact that Bungie isn't giving you the version of the game that you personally want, and approve of, doesn't mean that they are "incompetent" or are trying to "destroy" the franchise. Actually just the opposite. Bungie has come to the realization that there is no version of this game that is going to please everyone....and when you try to please everyone, you wind up pleasing no one. So they are opting to craft a particular kind of game, and then seeing who wants to play it. Which is how most really good games get made. For the last year, Bungie has been making almost all the right decisions needed to turn this game into a good blend of MMO, action-RPG, and FPS. But the fact is not everyone is going to like that kind of game, or that kind of experience. As far as PVP is concerned, this game is always going to give an sub-industry standard experience as long as the game won't allow for a seperate PVP sandbox, and continues to rely on P2P networking rather than dedicated servers. Bungie---and the game---are trapped for now with design decisions that were made when the console industry standard was P2P, and PS3 and XB360 were the console market. They will probably go with something more modern eventually, but that change will take years....not days to weeks. Because they will involve retooling the entire company, and probably building a new game.

6 RepliesEdited by Roach: 3/9/2020 6:35:15 AMNothing is going to change. Its been this way since 2013 and it will continue. Bungie management ripped up the "Supercut" of Destiny a year before the launch date leading to a years delay and the nonsense we bought as the Destiny story. That supercut contained the Dreadnaught, EDZ and Mercury, it was then rehashed it into a nonsensical story and then sold us back the bits that plugged the gaps. Well, tried to plug the gaps. They then demoralised the guy who wrote the story do much that he left and Bungie higher ups then ignored his writing team and delivered something that was utter garbage and made no sense only to then sell us back bits of the supercut as DLC. And look how management treated Marty. Then, amazingly, they did the same thing AGAIN. After deciding that content was too hard to make and they couldn't keep up with the contract schedule THEY signed they introduced Eververse to make money and that's why we have a Cowbell emote but Uldren is nowhere to be seen, the Dreaming City curse storyline came to a halt and now we have this out of nowhere season where the Cabal have apparently decided to throw a ship at us. Apparently the fact they could have done this from a distance instead of the whole Red War attack on the city thing is just to be ignored. Destiny 2 with its two primary set up, slow supers, gutted Crucible and complete abandoning of all that was learned during the course of Destiny to make a game that was meant to be accessed by the very casual of casuals was led by the one and only Luke Smith. The same guy who is now releasing these sleep inducing "Directors Cuts" and going on about how recently he realised that something that wasn't quite right in Destiny. Came to that conclusion all on his own apparently. That's the longest flash to bang time in history from someone who has led a team that does nothing but get in their own way, recycle old content and locations and make Eververse their focus. The only thing Luke Smith has done consistently well is drive players away. I genuinely feel sorry for the talented people who have to work under the like of Smith and Noseworthy. They made the best gunplay in any game and the lore is amazingly well written. The locations are beautiful and the Dreaming City is somewhere I still go after more than a year just to wander about. Its one of the best game areas I have seen ever. And I've been gaming since the mid eighties. But Bungie management are the problem here, not the men and women on the coalface actually making the product. I remember the Curse of Osiris reveal with the female narrative lead going on and on about the fact this this was the first time we had a female ghost. She was almost waiting for the applause to kick in when the reality was the DLC was an abject failure. The wokeness at Bungie is nauseating. Remember that Lore Card for the ship that told us about Uldren ??, how he was confused and shunned and we felt sympathy and a real connection to a controversial character ??, yeah that person works for Luke Smith when he should be in a position to drive the story forward. And lets not forget Luke is supposed to be a journalist, a person more capable than most of getting his message across who so far has delivered nothing more than a broken mess and spent two years trying to fix it while asking us to pay for the band aids. His Directors Cuts come across as indulgent waffle from someone who is trying to convince you of something he doesn't really seem to have a grip on himself. I really believe that the people who make this game are being seriously mismanaged by the higher ups at Bungie, I genuinely feel sorry for them. But its been five years and I am done waiting for the game it could be. It ain't arriving with the current leadership. If you're happy with the game then great, I genuinely hope you enjoy your time spent in it. If you don't then just stop playing and save yourself the grief of waiting for something that is never going to appear.

They are burnout with Destiny They want to make a mobile card game or a battle royal. Easy money, minimal effort.

Yet you still buy every content drop. Shut up

Edited by Jericho_Wolf99: 3/8/2020 8:29:29 AMJust by your title I’m going to tell you they already hit the last nail in the coffin. Trials coming back will further divide the community because balance changes will happen and by balance changes I mean nerfs where there not needed for the sake of trials. Weapon retirement they did that back in destiny 1 as well where a lot of legendaries couldn’t go past a certain light level forcing you to use newer weapon that were reskins/renamed weapons and armor we already had. The weapon change at the launch of forsaken brought back the meta of sliding around with shotguns and having one hit weapons in pvp if you haven’t noticed. Many abilities and supers have been nerfed and have made the game really unbalanced in the long haul just like in destiny 1. Many exotic armor pieces that give some type of super regeneration have been nerfed making pve game play unbearable. Three of the better perks for normal nightfall have been taken away from the card thing making normal nightfall a distance memory over the ordeal nightfalls which are a pain in the ass because of champion mods that can’t be put on exotic weapons. Also ordeal nightfalls were not a thing in destiny 1 but still using the word nightfall I kinda put them together. I mean I could keep going with how many similarity between destiny 1 and what we have now but I’m the only one who notices this shit. Destiny is dying and has been since forsaken. Just watch it won’t be long now.

25 RepliesPick up divison 2 bud.its amazing and just walk away from this shit.thats what I did and not missing it a bit.i only come into the forums now to try and save brave souls caught in the Bungie bs loop.trust me it's a better world

6 RepliesIt has to be said that without dedicated servers and a healthier stronger pvp population+sandbox trials should have never returned. Bungie are desperate to keep players, especially streamers/tubers invested in this game. Trials is the solution to that. I guess we are just going to have to see where it takes us. I for one have just absolutely lost all interest in pvp, I just dont have fun in there anymore, especially when matchmaking and load times give me around 3 matches per hour.
-
5 RepliesGuys, guys! I've figured it out! They're deliberately killing Destiny so they can stop working on it and move entirely over to that IP their investors are making them do. And Bungie, for one, welcomes their new, Chinese overlords.
-
3 RepliesI've said this to my longest standing friend on Destiny.... I won't be surprised, if after D3 is done, we get an in-depth article from Jason Schrier that exposes all the short comings and issues that have plagued this series from the start. It's a shame because the gunplay is second to none but it's clear as day but the game is severely lacking in a lot of areas.

People like you kill the franchise not bungo

Edited by indo: 3/9/2020 2:41:14 PMA lot of time I think you are right. Instead of making things fun it seems more like Bungie want to slow down everything. - Bosses compared to D1 have phases now so you can't wreck them most of the time - They nerf a lot of guns, exotics and abilities for PvE to prevent things getting wrecked too fast - They let you go to a certain light level and the last 10 levels will be really slow because of pinnacles - When you have a game in PvP where you can get a lot of progress Shaxx will call it - A lot of quests are just boring grinding to make it longer, same with the catalysts What I would rather have: - I would rather have bosses with more health than these phases. If they would do phases that is also fine but make every phase different. - More boosts especially on guns and armor that are never used or complete overhauls to make these items more fun to use - More ways for pinnacles - When Shaxx calls it you get your progress on something times 2 - More fun ways on leveling catalysts instead of grinding kills only (PS: If you need a way to easily get PvE kills start up whisper mission and go to the green room. Underneath you have infinite shadow thralls)

Well said dude. Been thinking about getting back into D1 and playing it. It was so much better by the time Rise if Iron came out.

1 ReplyIt took you six years to figure this out?

Edited by Optic: 3/8/2020 5:51:35 PMright? man crucible is barely playable now. If you want to have fun playing casually there you just can't because everyone is sweating all day everyday like there's a million dollars on the line.
