Use Mercury for a gravity assisted slingshot out to earth's orbit. It's probably physically possible if a few unknowns are cleared up, but short of some hyper-space magic, it's going to take a good long while for it to get to its target, giving us plenty of time to nudge it off course. Which begs the question, if there is some hyperspace jump drive shenanigans. Why cut the engines until it's too late? This seems like another Holdo maneuver debacle.
