Im still trying to figure out if healing and buffing with lumina activates benevolent dawn.
Im running a pve lock with top discipline,all nade armor perks, lumina,verities brow and a demo shotgun and grenade launcher with the well. Its pretty nasty for pve since i can heal and buff with my class ability, lumina, charged grenades and my super well. And all of it is regening my already 37 sec grenade. Its basically a straight support class.
Or at least all of it but the unverified lumina procing benevolent dawn perk.

I've heard that Lumina does activate Benevolent Dawn. I think I even used that combo in the past and it appeared to work. Haven't seen anything recent about it though. The best way to test it would be to limit how many buffs you have activated at once, get Noble Rounds ready and shoot a teammate. If you have more than 3 buffs active, then they won't all show up at the side.
