It doesn't get more off topic than this.
Since back in the day and since the movie launched, I've had this Robert Graysmith like obsession about it. Who was Zodiac and so forth. I'm still in the "It was Arthur Leigh Allen" camp but of course I can't say for sure.
Recently I saw the clips of someone claiming to be The Zodiac on the Jim Dunbar show and for me, the voice has a really close sound to Arthur Leigh Allen's voice. I made a video clip comparing the two voices. Mind you, these clips are over 20+ some years apart and still I hear a likeness I can't shake.
I was just curious and wonder, am I crazy or do the voices sound the similar? They sound enough alike that I can't ignore it.

Thanks for the up votes folks. It's fine to agree or disagree, I'm just interested in this whole thing and if you saw the movie, you might be too. I don't know, to me the voices sound eerily similar.
Almost everything points to ALA. I see the 3 down votes and I feel like many people got bad information from you tube videos, forums and TV about this case. Some say it had to do with the DNA on the stamps not matching, which sounds ludicrous to me. There is no way on gods green earth Zodiac would have licked his own stamps. Not a chance.
This is a man who said in his cypher's was his identity and yet, when decoded it stated, "I will not give my name" he had these "Playing with the press and the cops" idea in his playbook throughout this whole case. He seemed to know what he was doing.
So this has 12 likes, so that means at least 9 people gave this a thumbs down for some unknown reason. I would love to know why... Just curious.
Also, I would love to know why some think Arthur Leigh Allen is not The Zodiac. Please feel free to chime in.

To start off with DNA, here is something I found on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DNA_profiling#Issues_with_forensic_DNA_samples Issues with forensic DNA samples: Degraded DNA In the real world DNA labs often have to deal with DNA samples that are less than ideal. DNA samples taken from crime scenes are often degraded, which means that the DNA has started to break down into smaller fragments DNA fragmentation. Victims of homicides might not be discovered right away, and in the case of a mass casualty event it could be hard to get DNA samples before the DNA has been exposed to degradation elements. DNA Mixtures Mixtures are another common issue that forensic scientists face when they are analyzing unknown or questionable DNA samples. A mixture is defined as a DNA sample that contains two or more individual contributors.[23] This can often occur when a DNA sample is swabbed from an item that is handled by more than one person or when a sample contains both the victim and assailants' DNA. The presence of more than one individual in a DNA sample can make it challenging to detect individual profiles, and interpretation of mixtures should only be done by highly trained individuals. Mixtures that contain two or three individuals can be interpreted, though it will be difficult. Mixtures that contain four or more individuals are much too convoluted to get individual profiles. These 2 things make it really hard to say Arthur Leigh Allen is innocent, considering DNA evidence was not even something that was known or used and it's a very good chance there was mixed DNA and considering DNA Degrades over time, even more reason to throw all that away.

1 ReplyThere are more details to get into and I will but if you look it up you see, "Arthur Leigh Allen (December 18, 1933-August 26, 1992) was the prime suspect of law enforcement in the case for the Zodiac Killer and I feel remains the prime suspect... More to come. From Robert (SwankyButters) Graysmith.

I would love to hear arguments as to why you don't think it's Arthur Leigh Allen... Maybe you have a point and maybe you don't but I would very much enjoy hearing it.
