Titans are crayon eaters it confirmed now I guess( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Yes I know the twab said they are buffing it but this is feedback
So, I'm guessing a lot of people have never even used thundercrash or at least don't anymore I still do because it is one of the most fun supers in the game, becoming a missile and flying in the air really appeals to the power fantasy in this game but the problem is, it kind of sucks.
I don't want to sound a angry about it I just wish it was useful because it is one of my favorite supers and most fun subclasses they have put in and I really love using it but why would you when there are much better options.
First part is more centered on crucible
The melee is kind of useful but it is so incredibly easy to kill someone out of it because suddenly you are just a stationary target floating in mid air and anyone can shotgun or snipe you as you are floating up in the air and then when you land you are suddenly unable to do anything for a time and anyone can kill you then. The only good thing about the melee is the AOE damage that lets you do some funny things with dunemarchers, because dunemarchars chain lightning if you hit multiple people you have a chance to OHK people but besides that it's just not very good. The impact conversion perk is also kind of nice but it's still not that great especially compared to the shield bash builds for sentinel.
Finally , the super is just pretty underwhelming, it only starts of quickly and it falls of incredibly quickly to the points that you are just going straight down at 5mph and you get sniped easily. It is pretty easy to kill it after it's been in the air for more then 2 seconds because you are so slow. The best part of the super would be the explosion except that part isn't very good either, sure if you hit someone as your flying you kill them but that never happens because you are still guardian sized, not a missile. And the explosion at the end doesn't have that big AOE and it barely goes more then 1 meter in the air so a simple jump from a hunter of a blink from a warlock makes you safe, let alone a dawnblade floating in the air. And the aftershocks don't really do much either, especially because they barely last any time at all.
You know what is good about the class, inertia override, it is really useful for the damage buff and the auto-loading of the ammo is also great that is one of the 2 good things about it, the other great thing is getting the OHK on people in a bubble becuase it does that much damage at points blank range.
Just a little comparison, burning mauls (yes it can be pretty broken) smash attacks have similar AOE radius of thundercrash and WAY higher elevation of the explosion.
It is also useless in PVE becuase it doesn't do enough damage and it makes you vulnerable becuase you are just charging in and the boss can just stomp you into oblivion.
TLDR- thundercrash is underwhelming as a super and the entire tree isn't very good except for inertia override and they should buff it in PVP and PVE.

12 RepliesEdited by Pr0t0Zer0: 3/1/2020 1:07:41 AMI have all three chatacters and main hunter and never understood why people hate titans just because theyre one of the best and easiest classes currently for crucible. When chosing between two paths why wouldnt you go with the one with the least resistance? If i could essentially double my effeciency with half as much sweat why would i choose not too? Ive played all three classes in all kinds of pvp and titan is, imo, obviously all round better for pvp and you cant blame people for using whats best or easiest.

2 RepliesThundercats!

Its garbage. I never use it. And i main Titan striker.

6 RepliesThe problem of the subclass is that it's completely based around Skullfort. You don't have skullfort? Don't bother. I mained bottom tree Titan until Forsaken, Skullfort and Feedback Fence were my shit, I was hyped for the missile tree, but after I saw that it's only viable with Skullfort it killed my intrests. Now with Monte Carlo and Skullfort the middle tree is dirty good for PvE/Gambit, but without them the whole idea of the subclass falls apart. They should just remove the "gain super" part of the melee dive and make Thundercrash an actual nuke, with a pulsating blastzone that actually locks down zones in PvP and does good damage to bosses in PvE.

1 ReplyHonestly, if you don’t build Striker Middle with Insurmountable Skullfort in mind, it ain’t worth your time. But since I have it and use it for that tree, it’s awesome.

I eat the purple crayons first!

1 ReplyI use thundercrash all the time it's my favorite in comp but PvP in general. While I wont argue it needing a buff it is certainly a viable subclass. The melee is amazing with synthoceps and the super is intense lol. I love flying through the air only to activate right at a corner to spearhead through the air at whatever unsuspecting group of guardians awaits me. It makes me feel most like a titan truly weaponizing my entire body and eviscerating whatever lies in my wake. Want to really knock them off their feet? Use it with precision through small hallways and corners. Inertia Overdrive can be useful if it's not an afterthought to you.

6 RepliesEdited by CornerCarrot: 2/29/2020 6:19:43 PMDid you even read the TWAB? It's getting buffed!🤦♂️
-
They are bugging it. Probably find out next week.

1 ReplyYou seriously don't expect anybody to pick anything other than option 3 now do you?
-
It’s getting buffed. They said they’re buffing it in the TWAB

5 RepliesI've used it and got the Titan Triumph for it done too. It's likely the most useless Super Bungle has ever come up with. Basically it's "go kill yourself" in an weak Arc impact. Even if it's "buffed", they'd need to multiple it by a factor of 3x before I would even consider using it for anything other than a novelty. Perigrine Greaves with Shoulder charge do more damage to bosses than it ever will. My pinnacle "You had to be there moment" with it. Was doing 750 Savathun strike and got to the Shrieker. Lined up my Thundercrash, launched it right at Savathun only have Savathun teleport to the next location and I hurtle off the map and die. What a joke.

1 ReplyEdited by Gemini Trash: 3/1/2020 1:22:11 AMI use thundercrash in PvE. If you pair it with skullfort it's infinite Death from Above and if you end up wasting your melee, a kill with you super counts as a punch and rewards you with melee ability on kill with skullfort. True crayon eating Titan punching goodness. Also fabulous transportation
-
Yep, it's fun flying around like a missile but then it all goes to shit on impact. Aoe is complete trash, getting stomped back out is inevitable, and if your target is a little too far away you look like a complete fool crashing into the ground and wasting your super.
-
1 ReplyAbsolutely agree. Hunters need to be nerfed
-
Neutral game is okay. Super is doo doo.

Code of the missile is probably the most fun subclass in my opinion. To bad it's not great for pvp. But they're saying its getting a buff so we will see. The main issue is with the mini missile. Do you make it 1hko or not. It would be op if it was 1hko but not being 1hko it's not good enough. So what do you do. Sure you can 1hko if you get 2 guys at once but 2 guys have enough dps to shoot you out of the air. And you land exposed every time you miss.

Edited by Riven’s No.1 Cookie Baker: 2/29/2020 5:03:33 PMThundercrash can do 360s midair all day, nearly hit the ground, kill 2 of my teammates midair, miss me, and still kill me somehow. In my super.

2 RepliesIf you dont yell yeeet!!! while using thundercrash you re doing it wrong 😂 Most fun super together with blade barrage and chaos reach.

2 RepliesEdited by Mythic, Harbinger of Light: 2/29/2020 4:39:48 PMThey are already buffing Thundercrash again as stated in the TWAB. This was taken directly from the TWAB:
General Subclass Tuning We’ve made changes to a number of subclass paths in an effort to tighten the gameplay balance. For example, Stormcaller top, Striker bottom, and Arcstrider bottom have remained dominant in PvP for multiple Seasons now, consistently beating out all other paths in both win-rate and average efficiency. These paths have also ranked among the top PvE paths in terms of kills-per-minute. We’ve adjusted these paths (and others) to bring them closer to the middle of the pack. On the other end of the spectrum, paths such as Voidwalker bottom, Nightstalker bottom, and Striker middle needed some love, so we’ve taken steps to lift them up.
1 ReplyWhile they did buff the damage output (and you can get it even higher with sintoceps), it needs better neutral game as well as some tweaks like travel speed like you said.
