Bungie is, ONCE AGAIN, making changes that -blam!- casual players.
Weapon retirement just forces people that want to have some (notice the word "some") godrolls to grind way more for new godrolls when their weapons "retire". Bungie may pretend that forcing people to dedicate their whole lives to their shitty game is not their goal, but it is CLEAR that the outcome of such a terrible decision is either one of the following:
- forcing casual players to dedicate their precious time into playing way more of this stupid, grinding game
- alienate casual players from the game altogether, because they realize they're being -blam!-ed
I know I'm not the only one thinking this. Unless they revert this idiotic decision, Bungie is no better than drug dealers getting their customers addicted on their increasingly shittier products...
I'm curious as to what the community feels in general about this so I'm posting a poll:
Does this change help or alienates casual players?

1 ReplyWhat gets me about this change is all of the pinnacle weapons will be useless. Some people put some long long hours into getting these weapons because they aren’t good at certain things. Plus what’s the point of masterworking anything anymore. I’m sure they haven’t really thought this through properly.

Unless we get new perks that are coming with the new weapons the retirement of our current weapons is pointless. Perks are the main issue. We need to 100% move away from damage increasing perks, as in GET RID OF THEM, and move toward perks like Demo. Also we need to buff up lesser used perks and have perks synergize with each other. ALSO perks need to synergize with out subclasses more Example: A rocket with Autoloading and Ambitious Assassin would be great but these 2 perks do not work with each other and rockets are not in a great place right now😅. Example 2: Bottom Tree Sunbreaker is great with sunshot. 1 kill with sunshot could potentially give you another sunspot to keep the Sun Warrior buff active.

Edited by RAIST5150: 2/28/2020 3:45:06 PMNever understood such d!ckish moves.... Bungie not the first to do it, certainly won't be the last. But... we are all gluttons for the punishment... no matter how much we get abused, we keep getting on the hamster wheel of futility.
