I dont care. I wanna use it in the content where i need it most. Which is competitive game modes where it will matter. Just because you dont mind wasting your time doesnt mean others are fine with it.
Also i.b.,gambit, raids, and trials and nf will all require optimal current light level. So it actually will matter innover half the games content.
It also makes farming pointless. Why spend days weeks or months farming for the best rolls when theyll eventually be devalued in optimal performance within a year?
I dont think you understand how it affects the game. Or maybe you dont care. But the ones complaining care and do. Because theyve invested time they valued. Maybe you dont value your time?

Leaving OLD content behind allows them to be more creative with NEW content. You can run the same content with the same guns for YEARS if that is fun.....but the rest of us like a game that evolves a little faster. Your summary proves you value a few digital pieces of gear over innovation.
