Another TWAB showing no one at Bungie plays this game
Another TWAB showing us no one at bungie really plays this game. Or at least no one important enough to dictate anything in the game. These nerfs are completely tone deaf with no buffs to other weapons. Shadowkeep already took away a lot of the power fantasy of the game now the only good heavy in the game is being nerfed so it can be as crappy as everything else. Izanagis will be garbage while shotguns are still terrible. I like rapid fire fusions now but the damage isn’t comparable to previous seasons we’ve had. A lot of weapons need buffs in pve. Shotguns, rockets, machine guns, primary weapons are weak. And where are the class changes?? I’m two shorting red bars in legend sundial that’s ridiculous I’m +30 light and have to swipe twice with spectral blades.

The single largest collective b!tch for months has been erentil with backup plan. So addressing that is tone deaf? No skill shotguns running amuck giving free kills for little effort being tweaked to require some effort is tone deaf? Addressing the biggest PVP pain in the ass in L.O.W. tone deaf? Adjusting an ungodly OP TLW that also gave free kills with little effort tone deaf? Maybe this is just a function of you not understanding what “tone deaf” means. This sandbox adjustment showcased exactly how non-tone deaf Bungie is being lately. I thought the sniper adjustment was out of left field, but I also think making it harder to be effective by camping in safety in every encounter with a sniper, is a good thing. It amazes me how many people have convinced themselves that Bungie truly can’t do anything right ever. This is a very good adjustment across the board and people act like it’s idiotic and terrible. Critical thinking not high on anybody’s list of desires traits apparently.

On the contrary this is the first update that proves they listen to people in pvp. I just hope they fix ohko b4 trials and nerf more exotics like stompees and contraverse hold. Easy mode d2 is over boys , git gud or go play doom i guess

The only thing I can say is they really, really want you to run into high end content with sidearms and shotguns and get laid out by a Legionary melee or a boss stomp instead of *not* dying by taking cover and sniping with long range weaponry. Again, they are straight up dictating play tactics and controlling our ability to take or not take risk.

I never went after Izanagi because it was just too much and I couldn't be bothered. The most I ever chased a sniper was for Whisper. I feel sorry for the people affected by this.

4 RepliesIzanagi's will be fine. Stop crying. 2 things to remember. Luna factions and Rally Barricade are a thing. High End Nightfalls DO NOT require Izanagi's or Divinity. What those 2 guns do is simply make it faster. No more no less. We'll find another way to do content. Izanagi's was bloody unheard of until Shadowkeep dropped and you all frantically scrambled to get it. You'll all scramble to get the next broken weapon next season.

Now i literally have no desire to chase after it anymore. i chased after the izanagi just for the catalyst and getting the weapon itself takes time. i don’t even want to throw insults at Bungie. No one is surprised. It’s just constant disappointment. There’s just no way that they don’t expect hate from all of this.

Everyone: Can we get some weapon design updates for AR’s, Scouts and Rocket Launchers to give them more utility in PvE? Bungie: Gotnerf. Nerfyou Nerfsee thenerf nerfblem nerfis nerfpon nerfsign nerfis nerfeds nerfround nerfever newrf nertent nerfis nerfpping nerfat thenerf nerfginning ofnerf nerfa newrf nerfson. Nerfson nerfof thenerf Nerfthy nerfis nerfpping inerf nerfa nerfew nerfweeks. Basically, they’re just gonna nerf everything good at the end of each season, so people are Forced to used the weapons, perks, and shield/overload mods dropping in the new season.

I do have to laugh at the PVE sniper nerf to revert damage to pre-ShadowKeep lvls. It’s like “what did they think would happen?” when they gave a buff to weapons with high range. Did they assume people would NOT use them more in higher end activities? It’s not like snipers were unpopular. There’s always been a sniper that has been considered a “must” for end game activities.
