Another sandbox pass, more weapons nerfs because of PC players. TLW AND Low wasn’t over performing on console. But looky looky, they are getting that hot nerf. Ace of Spades wasn’t over preforming on console but it got nerfed here too.
Console players have BEEN asking for Nf/Luna perk to proc on both head and body. That way we can use it in pve as well. But we are just getting ignored.
Stop ignoring console players and pandering to PC.

Consoles have the largest player pool too, but the streamers all play on PC

1 ReplyEdited by Spawn Of Apathy: 2/23/2020 2:11:22 PMIt has annoyed me for a while that Bungie say they don’t want there to be two sandboxes, PC, and Consoles. Problem is there are two sandboxes. The game feels distinctly different on PC, mainly because weapons behave differently. Weapons can feel op on PC, and on console merely feel ok. Some that feels really good on console is god tier on PC. So any nerf that hits PC hits console even harder. The fact that they can tune the recoil individually for M&Kb, specifically for Last Word, means they could improve things for consoles specifically, or create better parity for console and PC. But they just choose not too.

21 RepliesIm tired of the tiny PC player base calling the shots. Stop listening to streamers and respect the will of the majority, on console.
-
Sorry buddy but they needed a nerf. LoW and TLW were always busted. Nothings changed and hopefully it finally will.
-
7 RepliesSo glad their Last Word nerf because of its use on PC is going to mildly inconvenience PC players, and make the gun utterly useless on console. Range, handling, and damage nerf all in one, because subtlety is a dirty word to Bungue.
-
Bungie continuing to suck that PC streamer -blam!- as usual. 🤦🏼

72 RepliesTruth. Destiny was way better when it was console only.

15 RepliesStop ignoring the fact there is not two sandboxes and PC has nothing to do with state of game. This is all on Bungie, game ran fine when Activision was involved, I knew it would get worse after the split.... and this isn’t even the extent of it yet. You guys blaming PC for Bungie’s laziness on the development side are truly delusional, PC has nothing to do with Bungie’s laziness. Just like this upcoming round of nerfs, could easily just nerf pvp but bc they are lazy these nerfs are just blanketed across the whole game to save time and money on dev side. Very sad days for destiny

1 ReplyGame gets tweaked because it's over performing on PC and no one even gives a damn. But the game gets tweaked because its over performing on console and everyone seemingly cares.
-
Last word was over performing on console too. Not nearly to the same extent but it still was. Any dedicated person could control the recoil and map (console's version of map) people with the last word on console. These changes aren't for pc only. This was affecting console too.

12 RepliesThey need to either code recoil into MK or remove it on controllers. It makes no sense to have this discrepancy between the two that affects balance so drastically on some weapons. Even with aim assist on controller and no recoil, MK still has an advantage in pin point accuracy and cursor move speed + overall micro adjustments. There wouldn’t be any disadvantages. MK allows for a much higher skill ceiling.

17 RepliesThey just killed The Last Word on console!

Console gamers supported the game for 4 years, feels bad man

4 RepliesLoW is annoying on console still, it’s a less skilled chaperone

5 RepliesMy "sweaty load out" TLW - Beloved - Lion Rampants. Not that I agree with what they did, but most OG players use this. Considering Beloved = LDR. It's the same for MiDA, at the beginning of D2, it was overused. That is because all the players from D1 had a weapon they were used to and knew how to operate, and it was basically the first exotic we all got. When it boils down to it, TLW was/is the best all around option for comp play. Last word + sniper dominated D1 Trials, and it'll dominant D2 Trials regardless of the nerf. As with most nerfs, if you're good with it, you'll still be good with it. It just makes it so that "Johnny Walmart or whatever they said" can't pick it up and dominant with it.

Yup this 😎👍

Yeah, TLW on console got the novawarp treatment, just absolutely hammered from all angles. 3 hip fire headshots past 14m is neigh impossible/consistent. That and the bodyshot damage reduction was also way to far, it should have always been a 4 shot while ADS, a 2 crit 2 body and a hard range cap of 17m, and then hip fire is a 3 crit kill,

1 ReplyThe last word nerf is mostly gonna only hit the pc players bro as for lord of wolves it had to finally lose a peg or two

3 RepliesWhy would they nerf TLW before something as crazy as Jotunn TLW was not OP on pc either the TTK doesnt matter when it is still very hard to hit head with TLW
-
The Destiny franchise at its peak to include D1 was on console. Now PC has appealed to many folks mainly due to frames per second and the smoothness of play. I played on PC when it was free and yes the games looks gorgeous and plays smooth. But the heart of the game and abilities was built around console controls. I would bet once the next generation of Destiny runs at a solid 60 fps or higher on console, it will be at top again on console. That being said, they should consider sandbox m.j improvements separate from console and PC to account for how DIFFERENT the game plays with sticks and less key bindings.

2 RepliesWe console peasants are a thorn in bungie’s side and have been since the release of Destiny 1. So it doesn’t surprise me that all the youtubers and streamers switched as soon as possible because they knew they would get the preferential treatment off bungie.
-
even on PC, I hardly see anyone else using TLW unless I am just completely farming then with it. it’s a good weapon but most people are running spare rations with icarus grip for perfect in air accuracy.
-
Yes I was wandering why console has been so neglected relative to pc. I thought quite a few people still play on console. I guess Bungie gave up on console. Guess it’s back to cod.

2 RepliesEdited by AendettV: 2/21/2020 10:57:36 PMThere is no consideration at all as to whether nerfs will affect PC and console differently. Bungie are just taking the cheapest and easiest route to making the game "challenging". When I got the Catalysts for LoW, I threw it on to Masterwork it, and after doing Pit of Heresy and a bunch of -whatever that event with the Nightmares is on the moon, that is so forgettable, I literally forgot the name if it-, I just stowed it back away at about 35%. It is not OP in anyway. I'd rather have the EP shotgun and save my exotic slot for heavy.
