Bungie intended for this so-called sequel to be accessible for 'casual' players and be a 'collections' game. Shortly after D2 released the player-base plummetted. Bungie tried for the first year to sustain this 'casual' experience only to fail. Then for some odd reason, Bungie over-corrected and made the game so over complicated and anti-casual that it was nearly impossible for players to complete any kind of 'collection'. Now Bungie are just in 'float' mode - adding sub-par content occasionally with very little effort. Every employee working at Bungie knows that they screwed up trying to cater to the SJW movement and make an all-inclusive casual gaming experience. But they are still intentionally using every chance for lucrative gain that they can. Basically - it was a failure at the start and a failure at every attempt at 'fixing' it. Now its just a cash generator that feeds on the foolish players that remain addicted to a broken shell of a game.
