10000000 doller idea here from. sirXplodalot (yeah I misspelled that)
@BUNGIE can we please pick up. bounties from the companion app. Going to the tower is a waiste of time. It's super annoying. Please help the community.
Additionally: make destiny 1 and all expansions free maybe???
I dont know what it is about destiny 2 that sucks but I've never been able to pinpoint exactly the problem. Any ideas that are outside the box. NOT erintil sucks or broken metas or bungie. I'm talking story and content.
EDIT: Thank you all for enlightening me. I think I loved d1 so much because its was like the best shooter I've ever played(at that time) I cant reinstall the DLCs because the account I bought them on was deleted. I never had playstation plus. I stuck around for the story. (Unbeknowest to me it's like free on ps3)

2 RepliesAlso can we just talk to ad1 from orbit after calibrating a weapon frame. I hate having to go back to the tower just to speak with her in order to finish calibrating my weapon frame.
-
1 ReplyI play Destiny 1 PvP more than destiny 2
-
1 ReplyD1 is better than d2, and Bungie absolutely knows it. I'm surprised they even kept those servers on during the rollbacks. Now more players than ever are realizing the kind of potential this game is being held back from by it's own handlers.
-
1 ReplyYup. I uninstalled D2 a few months ago. Have no desire to ever play it again. I re installed D1 and I've been having a blast playing it for a couple of months now. The only thing D2 improved upon was fast travel and mantling. Also, it only takes about 10-15 seconds to zone in D1 so even though you have to go to orbit first, it's still 10 times faster than loading into anything in D2. Bungo ruined their own franchise.

Edited by Nazo: 2/24/2020 10:44:45 PMDestiny 1 is, and always will be, superior to Destiny 2 in regards to quality content and having an overall more enjoyable experience. I've played D1 more consistently than D2, and I had officially given up on D2 after Season of Dawn. D1 Crucible doesn't take very long to find a match for the most played playlists either and loading times are great.

5 RepliesIt's the difference between a skilled and passionate team creating a space opera vs a greed driven team that is bankrupt of ideas and innovation.
-
3 RepliesIf they made D1 free no one would go back to D2 of their own free will.
-
1 ReplyThe only thing that’s similar in both games is the gun mechanics. The answer to your question is that D2 is a weaker watered down version of D1 on every level.
-
1 Replysomehow court of oryx is lookin mighty fine now XD
-
1 ReplyD1 was better in my book.
-
If only I could find a match of Crucible in D1 :(
-
1 ReplyThe taken king will always be the best expansion for me, story was amazing and the dreadnaught was full of great secrets
-
I quit D2 and I've been and D1 and I missed it so much

And a pink eye feels better than a brown eye, but sometimes you just gotta take the party up one floor.

Edited by 1ron1con1cs: 2/22/2020 6:08:57 AMAlso being able to dismantle items in the vault app would help getting tried of tea bagging All the cheaters in the tower hahaha Jokes... It never gets old really
-
1 ReplyAbsolutely.
-
2 RepliesIt does not by a long shot. I do have more fond memories in D1 vs D2 though.
-
3 RepliesI went back yo D1 on My 360 ando for despite the fact that it looks like sh.. the game still very fun
-
1 ReplyThe token system just leaves a bad taste in my mouth for some reason
-
3 RepliesBest part of D1... No more nerfs. All my stuff works.

I agree. I also don't really know why. I restarted 2 characters this month in D1 and it's just apparent from the start it's better. The missions mean more. The dialogue makes sense. There is a sense of vastness and history that D2 just doesn't convey. The in game economy works. The movement in D2 is better at the moment (it wasn't at launch). The shooting is more fluid in D2, but the need for accuracy was greater in D1. Scouts were actually useful. Hand cannons hit super hard but the range limitations made sense. It just feels like more care went into D1. Like as if you wrote a book that was inspired and was your best work, but then you were forced to rewrite it using different words and it became a chore instead of a labor of love.

Agreed and I don't play d2 even close to what I did d1. Mainly in pve a general slowness for movement and perks/mods don't really feel like they do much on weapons or armor. I used to sherpa d1 raids and have not even completed 1 d2 raid. I used to max out all 3 guardians in d1 iron banners and have not maxed even 1 in any d2 iron banners. (D2 PvP is pure crap imho) I didn't really like d1 trials but I'd dabble in it enough to do some bounties and get some gear/weapons worth keeping. D2 trials was such a fail bungle pulled it.

I'm not sure about D1 being better, but for me I was more invested and/or engaged in D1. Whereas, D2 just seems like a watered down "new coke" version. Some things that standout in D1: - Strikes: I could be wrong but I do not recall being able to speed run a strike in under 10-mins with little to no challenge - Less drops: I think the exotic drop in D2 has been fixed, but there was a stretch when it seemed like every 10-12 drops would land you an exotic but not in a good way (at one point I got Sweet Business over and over again). Legendary engrams in D1 were hard to come by, in D2 you just delete without even opening unless it is at a high level you need. - Specific loot: from Strikes, etc. - Shaders: Chatterwhite, glowhoo, just to name a couple - Stuff mattered: for me, at reset everything mattered including when Xur would arrive. D2, there is so much to do that you really don't need to do much to still progress I will admit that towards the end of D1 things were getting a bit old, but I reached that phase far quicker with D2. Been off for not even sure how many weeks now and was just thinking about firing up D1, thanks for the reminder.

I feel like d1 was better for me because of the subclass system. There was so much more customization there that it felt more open and creative to do what I wanted. My build also felt unique to me. Another thing is probably the fact that there were more weapons and armor pieces in the game, as well as more weapon perks. The armor system in the old game was better too, imo. I liked having only three armor stats to max out, but now we have six, and it’s a little too much I feel for most of the player base to try and optimize all of these stats. Nostalgia, too.

1 ReplyThe foundation of D1 was built with soul and to be fun to play. From the customization, to the cooldowns, and the EXP systems, everything seemed to mesh better. That.. and why does everything need a stylized sound in D2? Guns and abilities sounded dangerous and badass in D1, not so much in D2.

1 ReplyThis game is hollow and shallow. There’s zero heart, and it’s as big as an ocean, but only as deep as a puddle. In my opinion this is caused by an obvious focus on monetization. Content is only made for us if it can be used to sell a skin or a battle pass. Usually, we get some pretty generic experiences in order to refresh the loot monetization loop. I get it... free market... capitalism... blah blah blah. I’m not against Bungie making money, but I do believe that this is why we have a 165 gb game that feels empty.
