I’m a fanboy, got burnt out. Spent about 4 weeks playing others game. Came back not feeling so burnt out anymore. It’s the first break Ive had from destiny since curse of Osiris.
I played destiny 1, bought the dlc pass which only got me up to HoW. I loved the friends I made, 3 manning raids, getting to the lighthouse etc but that was because the ppl made it fun, not the game. I wasn’t blind to bungie‘a bs. Downloaded d2 as new light player because it was free and still felt owed from d1. Played for 3 months, got my luna’s howl, revoker, dust rock, other sweaty guns, comp was interesting as could only do the 3 leviathan raids. Just deleted it again and gonna try division 2 for just $3. I might come back if everything is free but still not giving bungie a dime since d1.
Going to have to be honest, sure destiny has had its ups and downs, but by only playing up till house of wolves and new light, you have missed out on the best destiny has ever had to offer. The taken king era was brilliant, the rise of iron era/age of triumphs era was the best D1 had to offer. As for d2, when forsaken dropped, it was the best time the entire franchise has ever had.
We’re kind of in a lull at the moment, but if you’ve ever enjoyed destiny, I would stick around. Bungie has a weird way of making this game amazing at times, and pretty dull at other times.
Wasn’t one of those dlc’s literally selling you back the content they removed from the game? I mean, if that’s not a completely .... then idk what to tell you man.
Bungie has never taken content out of the game and re-sold the content. The big controversy at the beginning of destiny was that things like house of wolves areas were already on the base disk of destiny, but we couldn’t go there until we paid for the house of wolves dlc.
All of the DLC’s I’ve listed were destinys high points and none of it was what you’ve described. It was all fresh and extremely good content.
