Remove level advantage from Iron Banner
In a PvP game mode that is advertised as a test of skill for pinnacle rewards, it is really a mistake on Bungie's part to make it so that people like me who can't regularly acquire pinnacle rewards are being punished by being matched against teams of people who sport power levels into the high 990s.
I have been matched against multiple teams that have at least 3 990+ Power enemies, and the damage difference between what I deal to them and what I receive from them makes it so I cannot duel them unless I get the drop on them, or they are really inept. That wouldn't be so bad, if I wasn't constantly on the receiving end of "lobby balancing" so terrible that I am regularly placed onto teams where I am playing with a bunch of kinderguardians against a team of fairly skilled opponents.

But that's the point of IB. IB without lvl advantages is a Control playlist. From your profile i can say your light lvl is enough 4 this now )

Level advantage is the only purpose of IB. It is not iron banner without it...that is controll.

Play a Hunter... it’s totally cruise control. Make dinner, dodge, take a call, go invisible, someone at the door? No worries ... ez mode just jump all day with shotgun.

1 ReplyCompletely disagree. Without the power advantage it is not Iron Banner. Period. Bungie has already changed all bounties to allow for no wins and still completing the tasks. It's all worthless anyway since there are no new armor ornaments or weapons.

Does 10 power level make that big of a difference in IB? Im almost tempted to try my 1008 out .....yeah, never mind.

BUT bungie have a matchmaking that in fact is a peace of shit and it seems like they want do nothing bout it. That is the problem.

4 RepliesThey did remove power level from iron banner when d2 launched...and that was not a good time, in my opinion. Having your power level play a factor in a pvp event was interesting in d1 and it was frustrating to have it taken away in d2. Sorry that you're not enjoying it but I personally hope they don't make that move again.

I suggest not. Since D1 it's been like that, IB is not around every day and should have its identity.
