Yep, haven't played since Forsaken dropped which I did not buy. Have not logged into D2 since. I do still log into D1 frequently and play strikes for fun and enjoy the weapons like Necrochasm and others. So, I think I was more burned out on D2 itself and how to me anyway it feels like a much inferior game. That's not nostalgia talking either. Nostalgia would be if I didn't play D1 anymore and just have some memories I cling to but I actually still play it. D2 always felt bad to me. Hated the Calus raid but not because of the raid itself but the shitty weapons aside from the exotic shotgun (forget the name).
For me, I just got burned out more on the nerfs ( I REALLY had enough of that shit) and the fact there was nothing worth chasing. Like, why bother? Everything is mediocre and anything relatively good gets shat on into oblivion not long after you realize it's worth a damn. I still silently lurk the forums to see how the game is from the people playing it and it sounds like it's still the same old bs. Apparently I made the right decision in not playing.
Not gonna lie, I still have the urge now and then to jump back into current play but, then I remember the nerfs and nothing to chase and even if there was something to chase your time is disrespected anyway when it gets shat on. Maybe D3 I'll hop back in, we'll see. Probably not worth getting back into now anyway and chasing whatever may be relatively worth it cause we know in D3 we'll lose everything again anyway I'm sure.

I stopped at shadowkeep logged out uninstalled put d1 back on dusted off a few raid adepts and had an absolute blast soloing nightfalls poe and then just run wild in the strike list. Your right its not just rose tinted glasses d1 just feels better in terms of rewards and functionality but i will say d2 has some good content but no decent loot and what is good soon gets its nuts clipped.
