Personally I want to finally find out whether Rasputin knew about the Moon Pyramid given the Moon AI attempting to report back to him was cut off.
If he didn’t, I want to see what effect seeing a Pyramid would have on him given the fact he’s fought the Darkness before. Would it finally convince him to join us properly?
Because make no mistake, Rasputin has had a questionable past. He betrayed humanity by abandoning his defence of our system in order to go into hibernation as he saw it as the only chance of survival. He unleashed SIVA on the Iron Lords And has annihilated Guardians sent into Old Russia to make contact with him.
Even with Ana all we’ve gotten is a hand with the Dreaming City through some analysis.
Rasputin needs to decide whether he’ll continue his isolation or join with this Last Alliance of Men and Awoken.
Personally I want to finally find out whether Rasputin knew about the Moon Pyramid given the Moon AI attempting to report back to him was cut off.
Ok. For the last time it’s a tetrahedron. All the sides are triangles. A pyramid has a square base.
-
It’s referred to as a Pyramid and I will use that title until it is given a new designation in game.
-
Didn't Rasputin fight the iron lords so they wouldn't get siva but then they persisted?
-
He gave them no warning when they contacted him about their intentions and instead opted to slaughter all of them.
-
Where in lore did it say the iron lords contacted rasputin beforehand?
-
Dormant SIVA: Iron Lords 2.5 First example I could find. I believe it was Felwinter or Timur who done it, can’t quite remember. It caused Rasputin to attack them.
-
Found it as well when looking: Dormant SIVA: Iron Lords 2.6Felwinter tried to communicate with the Warmind. Called it Rasputin. ~consume enhance replicate~ Said he could make it understand. Tell it we meant no harm. Rasputin didn’t answer with words. Wasn’t Rasputin also dormant during this time?
-
He was active in Russia only. The main Mind on Mars wasn’t active to our knowledge, due to us not knowing of the Futurescapes existence beneath the ice
-
Gotcha. So one of his sub minds (I guess that’s what they will be called. Still getting use to the idea that Rasputin is all the war minds) attacked out of its programming while the main mind was dormant on mars?
-
All we know in lore is that it was a “fragment” of Rasputin, so it could’ve been an isolated portion of the AI or a submind. It’s unclear.
-
Thanks for the info

Dormant SIVA Fragments. Felwinter attempted to make contact with Rasputin; but he answered back with violence. It’s between entries 2.0 and 2.9
-
Found it: Dormant SIVA: Iron Lords 2.6: Felwinter tried to communicate with the Warmind. Called it Rasputin. ~consume enhance replicate~ Said he could make it understand. Tell it we meant no harm. Rasputin didn’t answer with words. This also reminds me though, wasn’t Rasputin dormant until the entry? Meaning he wouldn’t have answered them, and only fired as that’s what his programming was set to (destroy anyway one trying to break into the vault)
-
No. That’s not actually Rasputin like we see him in the Hellas Basin. The Rasputin in the Cosmodrome are just fragments of his memory left behind from the collapse. There’s probably more to it, but I’ve not delved into the Warmind lore properly for a bit of a while.
-
Gotcha. I’m still getting used to the whole Rasputin was all the warminds thing, when using both D2 and D1 lore
-
I'm pretty sure you just vollied about the ramifications of the story elements waaaay more thoroughly than bungie has ever pretended to.
-
Well the Lore team certainly put thought into these elements. The problem is the part of the Narrative team that decides on campaigns and cutscenes really doesn’t seem to ever quite grasp what they’re saying.
