Switch to a new game every now and then.
I go to MK11 and DCUO when I feel like that.
Games are supposed to be fun, if you ain't having fun, take a step or two back

They tried to make a "hobby" game, but the rewards definitely turn it into a second job

They're a business and they want you to feel like Destiny is the only game you should play. No different than a food franchise trying to get you to only eat their products.

Fun is subjective though. Some people like the timed missions like Whisper and Zero Hour Some like tough puzzles for Divinity or Outbreak Prime back in D1 Some just want to shoot aliens in the face How do you please all these people at once without having long droughts?

but with their approach destiny becomes exactly the game you do not want to play , tedious , paywalled and not fun they should take some lessons from good games , heck even destiny1

When did D1 not have a paywall? When was it not tedious? You had long-time players who didn't get Ghorn until the second time Xur sold it just before TTK. I'm telling you, nostalgia is a powerful thing.

Edited by name: 2/19/2020 12:04:13 PMi had three ghorns , one on every 3 characters (all via gameplay , no xurn) ,and it was not tedious to obtain them in destiny2 i couldnt even bear to play more than one character because its no fun
