When I first played destiny 1 I loved how the titan armor looked. It was a mix between the Halo Spartan armor with the great art direction of Destiny. But when Destiny 2 released the armor changed in the worst possible way. Big shoulder pads. This change was the most ridiculous way to style a warrior of the light. The armor looks clunky, lazy and unfit for battle. Its as if the tower vanguard wants titans to hit themselves in the face whenever they use the fist of havoc.
The best example I can give is by simply looking at the art at the top of the screen. All of the titans look like they are wearing football gear as they walk the city streets. The pads are so big that they look like robots and not in a good way either. Also, the pads are not covering their bicep and forearm making it even more illogical to use in battle. While there has been new armor that doesn't look as silly as the armor above. It would be so much better to have the armor you see on the titan when in Destiny 1 character creation. In conclusion, I love this game, I love playing titan, but what I don't love is giant shoulder pads.
Edit: after seeing the new Eververse armor for season of the worthy all I can say is... I should of been more careful on what I wished for because now Titans all over be looking homeless.

1 ReplyI agree dude but transmog is the least of my concern rn. I fear we may not even have a chance to worry about what our character looks like for much longer sadly. Season of Dawn = possibly worst content/zero replay ability/worse pvp then vanilla double primary meta.. possibly. It's like Diet curse of osiris. Try Hollow Knight, great game.

3 RepliesYou think D2 Titan armor is bad... You should try being a Warlock lol.
-
1 ReplyAll D1 armor is superior aesthetically to D2 for all classes. I've deleted and replayed 2 characters in the last month and D1 armor just mixes and matches better. The Dead Orbit Titan set is insanely cool.

Bring back Chroma to armor!
-
42 RepliesSeriously STOP IT with the "big shoulder pads" thing!!!! A LOT of us like them and because of whiners like you they are tiny now
-
The Spektar armor at the very least. Best armor for roleplaying as Iron Man.
-
3 RepliesOh and warlock armor(?) doesn’t look like a dress
-
2 RepliesThe aesthetic of D2 is trash. It’s the alternative vagabond look. Cyber punk meets the dark ages. I’m tired of guns and armor looking like they were made from garbage and shoestrings. We wielders of the light or dumpster divers?
-
The D2 stuff would be okay except for the overly massive shoulder pads. Ugh. Ashen Wake makes my girl look like a Macy's Thanksgiving parade float.

1 ReplyEater of Worlds titan armor is my favorite D2 armor. If the shoulders are going to be big I want the rest of the set to be big as well otherwise it does look weird, but I also don’t want the shoulders to be small because I feel like my titan looks like a hunter without the cape.
-
2 RepliesWhat do you mean you don’t like big shoulders? You know what I say? Make ‘em bigger! HUGE! I want them to be so big I can’t see my titan’s head! Give me Zavala’s shoulders, I want that -blam!-ing plate to just keep going, zoot offscreen. Give it to me, I NEED IT. I WANT TO BE THE DOUG DIMMADOME OF SHOULDERS
-
Yeah. I mean, unlaced leather boots? Rope for belts. Shoulder pads so big they clip all the way through your ducking head? I wouldn’t call it lazy, just absolutely stupid design choices compounded by the dumbasses drawing and animating them who didn’t point out the clipping. Nothing but B squad quality. Completely against the established theme made in D1. But oh yeah that’s right. D2 is a “soft reboot”. So may as well throw D1 in the trash.

Personally I feel the recent armour is a huge improvement from vanilla d2. lots of d1 styles I miss though my favorite being the commando set.

2 RepliesGive the no back-up plans back, it'd be great fun in pvp and maybe give people a reason to not use one eye as it has a good risk reward with the overshield on shotty kill (also i like the way it looks)
-
Taken king raid armor !? I need that ASAP
-
Omfg yes. That disgusting shlt has got to go.
-
bring back d1 raids and sets of raid armor and weapons, fixed
-
5 RepliesThere's 1 D1 set for Titans
-
1 ReplyI don’t think my titan looks horrible but then again I don’t own shadowkeep and haven’t played d2 since October which makes my armor useless
-
2 RepliesEdited by silencersix: 2/18/2020 3:20:57 AMWhat are some good armor combinations in D2 for titans? I found one that actually works with the omega mechanos gauntlets (in my opinion). It’s the helm of saint-14 with the gauntlets and Phoenix strife chest piece. It looks way better in-game than on bungie.net.
-
Never liked the looks of D2 Titans they went from decent looking to Bulky ugly pieces of armour users
-
Ikr wtf they looked so good and why does my titan have a gap at the waist Lmao who made these models
-
I love the titan calus armor
-
Think about it properly. Do you really want bungie to screw up that armour? Leave everything in D1 where bungie don’t mess it up
-
6 RepliesOr create new armour ! D1 is dead and buried...for a while now let’s leave it there .
-
1 ReplyFun Fact: That armor was actually never in the game😅. I was also one of the people that wanted it very badly but currently the armor set I want back now is the “Holdfast” Vanguard set. It was the Vanguard armor during The Dark Below which means it never got its shot to shine because raid armor was literally the best armor in the game and if you werent using it you were at a disadvantage. Bungie... I would pay to have a slightly updated version of the HoldFast armor set back. Titan Chestplate Rule #1: If thy chestplate doth not have fur or feathers or a neck guard around neck, doth not look good!
